G morning It’s been a crazy few weeks.
My challenge and I rather have brothers and sisters comment so in this thread.

I have a 21 yo beautiful daughter; still lives at home but is now adult. Like all parents we dont want her to fail BUT god designed us to struggle to get stronger and I have seen too many “babied” adults never grow. My 24 and 27 nephews who had it “tough” are doing better than I was at their age

Nonetheless, living here Liz pays $350 a month (her rent) goes into her Roth plus company match to 401k
and struggles with that

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 70⁰ now, high of 86⁰, sunny. Started my 6AM-6PM shift for the week......but have lights on Blue Samson, so woodyard therapy is a great possibility this evening ...
We've got 1 more 330gal tote to prep and fill, then we can start on the 275gal totes.

As for grandpa Dennis granddaughter (my Liz) I have seen a lot of kids and am observant of situations, my parents were Sunday school teachers and Foster parents too many. So good and bad, just like life, compound interest 8th wonder of world (Ben Franklin) and numerous biblical parables that many on here know better than I, but tithing comes to mind

 

I received a call a little while ago from a nurse at the hospital where I had my surgery last week, asking how I was doing. I said I was doing fine except I was having wicked mood swings, I assume as an after affect of the anesthesia. She then proceeded to ask about pain, meds, bowels, etc while sidestepping the mood swings. She didn't even ask if I was suicidal, which I'm not. I guess the purpose of the call was to check a box. Our medical dollars well spent.

 

Morning all. Grey and damp this morning.

Yesterday stayed dry so after dinner while scooping poop, I realised I could probably mow the lawn so I did. Not the entire lawn, just around the edges where the dogs have been fertilizing it. Parts of the lawn they have been dethatching the moss out of the lawn with their energetic playing. Our yard definitely looks like a play yard.

Well, the Blue Jays did well and Canada lost the gold in curling. Silver is hard to take when the entire country expects gold for their team.

Bookkeeping, chores and probably baseball watching today. I did get into the sewing room first thing this morning and worked on a quilt until everyone else wanted to be fed.

Winter weather arrived overnight. Snow covered ground, deck, and vehicles. Driveway might be icy. 28⁰/44⁰ sunny day should melt away what fell.

I'll be visiting mom this morning. Then, some errands while I'm out.
