Most of the pictures are just question marks, on both my tablet and my Windows 7 box with IE-10.

Steven, the 268 was my pleasure! I wanted it to go to someone who appreciated unmolested, as 'shipped' saws! Beyond the 288, you should really run a 281!

Where is your collection headed after you finish with the '2-series' saws?

Focusing on duplicate 2 series saw- NOS preferred.  I am obsessed with them.:D I like the 2 series much more than the current 3 series Husq. It is a Classic design. Of all my saws... my 288 is more valuable to me than any other.

Well, given that you are after '2-Series' saws, I don't see that you have a 272XP 'West Coast' yet. I looked for several years before I found the one I have (most were not what I would consider worth it). IMHO, the 2-series saws were built better than current saws with a design goal of long in-service life. I am still looking for a 298, but I'm afraid that is just a dream.
