Video unrelated. (didn't pay attention just grabbed the share link) I can't not think of Belushi when I hear that song.

Never was a Dio fan but I’ve been into those “old” rock singers for a minute. Rainbow with Richie Blackmore.. etc. Local record store does video clips of his new arrivals, flipping through, this got my attention so I swung by and bought it. First pressing Holy Diver. Man-o-man does it ever sound good!! Must not have had much play time. The cymbals and highs are mint. Lovin’ it.

I saw Dio for the last in line tour when I was 15-16. Twisted Sister opened for him. Also saw him with the Heaven & Hell version of Black Sabbath.

Thats a great record. Somewhere I have the CD.

I’m just discovering all his stuff honestly. I heard some of the Sabbath record Mob Rules, specifically this one blew me away. Where has this been all my life, lol.

    His voice is simply awesome.

The musician in me, along with being into everything analog & old school, I'm mega conflicted on these 2 vids. They're both a blend of real and AI producing an amazing result. Both done by an old family friend. See what you think. It's a new world... :picard::cool:

I gave the first one a few seconds.. I’m much more conflicted than you. Knowing that’s AI, I don’t even want to give it a chance. I can’t see myself giving in. I want my music coming from human beings using their musical talents playing real touchable instruments and their own human voices. I do have “wiggle room” so to speak (synthesizer/drum machine) but letting a computer create… pass.

Decided an upgrade was necessary in the compact disc player department. I’ve been using this unit since about 1991ish. Since it’s been mostly reliable, so I decided to stay with the brand. The only issue has been for the past 10yrs when I open the tray, it immediately closes. I just dealt with it. Guess it’ll enjoy retirement.

I think we’ll get along just fine. I’ve put at least 20 cd’s through it already. Its transport mechanism is dead silent. That’s a plus.

No worries... I get it. I think Kit may get the same feedback. He's a singer and wrote the lyrics, but... synthing his voice and using all of the "tools" in the AI toolbox, for the music... it may be a tough sell. It's going to be interesting watching how people deal with this new tech. Songs, really good songs, can now be created from scratch, using AI. Completely bi-passing the writing / arranging and recording time it now takes to produce a finished song. Then add the video production costs, etc. AI does it all in minutes. The thought of so many talented musicians competing with this now... :headbang:... but, it's happening.

    Just watched this video...

    Such a powerful song...

And in many cases, so true...

Really good song. A good example of what I was saying about AI created material too. The guy creating this is Darko Mihajlovic, a producer, composer, and musician who uses AI tools to generate music. It's crazy how good the songs can be. What surely is happening today... is songwriters / live music solo players, using AI to whip up a dozen songs. They then learn the songs and play them live, taking credit for writing them. I'm not sure most non-musician folks will even care. Good music is good music. That new world thing... :handshake:
