What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

I forgot to mention that while on the dog walk the other morning, we saw a wooly bear right on the edge of the asphalt roadway!

Site sure has slowed down noticeably.....

 

I imagine it was.

Two weeks till spring, officially.

 

We've been informed that my last remaining grandparent, mom's dad, has dementia

I should add, he lives in Nova Scotia, he used to usually come for a week or two's visit once a year. It doesn't seem that long, but I guess I haven't seen him since before covid. After the pandemic was over, his health was going downhill enough to make the trip hard.

Mom noticed enough to suspect something during a couple of their latest phone calls, but it sounds like he's already in the later stages.

So, while we aren't super close, and I'd accepted he probably wouldn't make it here again, I'd hoped I could arrange a trip down there before he passed on. We'd be taking a big chance whether he'd even remember us at this point, so (while I'd like to visit NS for it's own sake) I think it's best to hold onto memories and accept we won't meet in person again. unfortunately.

70° degrees here today so Kathy and I took the scooter out for lunch. Then stopped for ice cream. Also spending a little time at the fly tying vise getting ready for trout season..

I mostly had my day of rest yesterday. Wanted to take it easy after the smack in the head. Did clean up my shed while it was nice just before dark, and went for a long walk, which classifies as rest to me.

Raining today so doing some trim work.

I spent the day framing yesterday. I'm not in that kind of shape anymore and my legs are letting me know. More of it tomorrow.
