Last week I had my friend who is also a contractor come down to install stairs off my deck. He lives less than an hour away but at a higher elevation. They got 3' of snow, we only got rain. He shows up wearing several layers of winter clothing. The sun just laughed and it hit 78 that day. My wife gave him a pair of my shorts and a tee shirt to borrow- he wasn't looking too good!

She's not half bad. I think if I could actually order a brand new version of a past truck though, it'd be a 73-79.

But, if money was no object, I'd gladly own this 2026 too....

Not really, but a tree fell across the road and took out the power. The ground is super saturated so it makes sense.

I just checked and we got 1.6" of rain yesterday and 1.9" today, with a LOT more on the way.

Spent most of the day in the truck hauling goats. Hauled away two but brought back 4 with me. This is getting out of hand.

It'll print goats but it won't print money.

Yes especially with any work injury. Document it too.

If it was at home, or away from work/ nothing to do with work then you know how to handle it. Pupil dilation check, and then ensure you didn't have any wounds needing attention and you're good. Maybe rub some dirt in it too, lol.

I've had a couple conversations with that driver about how "they" technically want you to document every slightest injury. Im our lines of work, if you wrote up every little paper cut, slight smack on the arm or leg, so on and so forth, you'd be in the office 20 hours a week. Well, not this time. We wrote it up. I have a copy in the truck in case I need it.

No signs of concussion. Mom has had an obscene amount of them, I think she's had 4 just since she moved in with me. So we know what the symptoms are. I did play it safe and refuse to drive anything for several hours and tried not to be alone.

Climbed onto one of the garage lean-to roofs yesterday and removed about 1/2 of the near 5' depth of compacted snow. I was intending to let it go all winter without shoveling, but it is so compacted and so saturated with moisture......

I had to use a long handled #2 square spade shovel and chisel each piece to slab off a portion. With around 2' left on the roof, I had enough and figured the roof was pleased with the less weight!
