Stove is doing its job making heat and cooking some pimped up Blounts clam chowder. Extra clams, potatoes, corn, bay leaves and white wine. 20260222_182806.jpg

we've received about 4-5" of snow so far. It started out as a mix of rain and sleet then switched over around 4pm.

There are a couple of differenet models out there. WMUR shows I'm in 4-8", so nothing big. But I still have over 2' on the ground, and that doesn't include the piles of snow.

Another site shows me at 8-12", and the line just has to literally move like 5 miles and I'm in an eve3n higher range.

Being at the center point between the Monadnock and Lake Sunapee regions, plus in a valley, makes my area very hard to predict anyway. I've prepared all I can and I'll get what I get. It's the wind that I'm most concerned about at this point. Hasn't really gotten going here yet.

Wow, the snow bands in northern NJ have a razor-sharp edge. It's snowing pretty good here in NW NJ but eastern parts of NJ are getting hammered. Speaking of getting hammered, I didn't even make it through one case of beer yesterday.

according to my phone we've received 15" so far and another 9-11" are expected today before it stops this afternoon. I have a decent size broken branch dangling near my deck/house.

    The snow started Sunday 8:30pm.

Currently, sideways snow. Several inches on the ground. Measuring will be sketchy with so much wind.

Sure hope the power doesn't go out.

    We're hunkered down, self sufficient.

Good luck to all in Hernando's path.

5:55 am, we got HAMMERED!!! I'm not sure how much yet but the win d blew 50+ MPH last night to the point my little wind indicator froze up and broke. The plow trucks came down our road and we probably have 20" on the ground. Now, that's not the problem, the wind blew it so hard last night I can only get 1 of the 3 doors in the house open. :headbang: The stove stayed hot till we got up, coal bed but quickly lit. It's still snowing as I'm writing this but the only consultation is it's 33º out as far as the Thermometer closest to the house say's. I'll put up pics when it gets light.:salute:

We had a couple of power losses last night, but we luckily still have power. My Daughter who lives about 9 miles away, they have none. I'm going to snap some pictures here shortly. This wouldn't have been bad except the damm wind, it was hitting real hard all night. MikeInMa , this is coming your way Buddy! We're on the back side now but it's still coming. They expect us to be snowing till about 1600 but the wind hopefully lay's down... Stay safe up there, it slammed the S#!T out of us. It was a good one!;)

Sorry you had to cut your trip short. In the past we had to do that a few times. Once I ended up staying in a tent alone for a week buried in snow. Then we got a short warm-up but someone was able to get in. I had a good time.

Bingo! Enjoy it while it lasts. Storms like this many times brings family close. That's the good part.

Some pics. It's really hard to tell an amount but you'll get the idea, and it's still snowing with a very fine snow. it comes hard then slacks.
