That's great, my friend. We have a new friend coming tomorrow from the ATL area. He's coming down to pick up a deer from the processor and got our number from them.

Someone came by and cleaned my stand out last night, even took the sample I had strapped to the top!
I didn't realize that anyone was out there, until the doorbell rang, but by the time I got there he had already put the cash in the box. Sounded like he wanted a little more to stave off the cold snap again this weekend, so I told him to pull into the other driveway and we'd grab what he wanted. The first rack we came to was red oak that I just split a month ago, his eyes lit up when I told him that...he said that other stuff I got is too dry, it won't last the night like this will! :hair::rofl:  We grabbed a couple armfuls and off he went, happy camper!
I could have made bank with this cold spell recently, but with all the snow we got it makes it hard to get to most of my stacks with my lil forklift, unless I blow a path...just been busy with other things though, not a priority right now, heck my ad is older than dirt, if they even have it up anymore...I'm so unjustified...:(

No, I think the requirement was to post the ad...plus, Mr Nashville makes 10 times as much in tips, than what I sell! Not to mention that I can't hold my liquor, or do 200 perfect pullups...

Sortof depends on available supply. I'm not near running out, but do not have enough made and drying to sustain this movement long term. Sweating next winter already (really really do not want to sell less than dry wood). Been giving the standing dead red maples the stink eye lately. I'm probably going to have to lean on them a little.

A guy called me wanting to buy a 2 ton dump load. I said no thanks because I needed to save rtb inventory for my regulars.
60 deg tomorrow with 1 delivery scheduled. I will be fine if it’s the last this winter. Lots of empty space in my yard with tarps everywhere. Time to buckle down and make splits. :stacker:

Thats my dilemma. Got in over my head and with work, weather and health I haven't replaced what I sold. Cold Winter helped sales. Im looking at some dead/down stuff here to help.

Like you I wont sell underseasoned wood unless its off season and the customer knows it.

I will have to catch up on this tread. We have been so busy, not sure if I have sat on the couch and watched TV since Thanksgiving. We have had a long deep freeze and the business has been brisk. Within getting home yesterday morning from working the midnight shift, had 4 orders come in less than 20 minutes. It’s a good problem to have. We are maintaining about 10-14 days out on deliveries. We deliver between 2-6 cords a day. This side hustle has turn into so much more. Be careful, folks nowadays will put you to work like a rented mule. Logger seems to be happy, he now has been driving through the wood yard and when there’s room he drops it off, apparently we are on the keep full plan.
