Well, some parts *should* get here today. I have about 3 projects stalled out and waiting on them. After those are wrapped up I'm going to need to find a couple more.

I think one of them is going to blow some more insulation in the shop ceiling. I've held off for a while, but I'm pretty sure I'm done wiring up there now.

I gotta say, FedEx is impressive with their deliveries.

I placed an order on Monday, Feb 2nd at about 7:30 with a company outta Colorado Springs, CO. They fulfilled the order the next morning Tues, Feb 3rd and FedEx didn't pick it up until 4:30 that evening. Well , it was delivered today at about 2:00pm.

So that's about 2.5 days to go 1100+ miles. Why is it so hard for the other two to do this?!?!

FYI: I paid $12.50 for shipping, so it was nothing special.

Around here FedEx is the absolute worst. They will stuff your mailbox with their crap (which is illegal) or leave it in a snow bank.

I had USPS leave mine in a snowbank this week. Nevermind I have a nice enclosed delivery drop box direct on the other side of the driveway. :hair:

Our delivery instructions always say leave on front porch. Our driveway is plowed and sanded. Frustrating as it is for you.

I hadn't had a package left on my porch for years!!! I finally broke down and made a delivery box for them, figuring it would alleviate all these problems, but it hasn't. I still have to call the post office on the regular and inform them they aren't don't their job. All I can figure is I must have THE WORST postal carrier in the county, if not the country.

We have a great mail carrier. Anything too big for the mail box gets left on the chair next to the front door.

Our mail carrier does that. With Fed Ex you never know.

Sounds like you do. If it didn't fit in my box a note would be left informing me that I needed to pick it up at the post office. Zero effort exerted. Half the time the package gets left at the post office before a delivery is even attempted. She has no intention of getting out of the vehicle. As lazy as they come. I really wish they'd get rid of her, I know it's a her after talking with the post master several times, but it's looking like I'll move before that happens.

That happens to us a lot. Our driveway gets steep once it enters the woods. Most don't want to risk it. Many of our trees along the drive have chunks of tail lights embedded in the bark from numerous failed attempts. I even have a saw horse with a big sign that says "ICY DRIVE, call me at 567-555-5555" for when it gets really bad after a thaw and re-freeze.

I'll tell ya, I understand why they don't drive up the driveway anymore after today, cause the drivers are incompetent.

I was at a residential job today working downstairs. I came up to get something from the van and the homeowner said, "hey can you help them out there? I just haven't gotten a chance yet" as he pointed out the window towards the driveway. I get out there and it's an Amazon delivery van backed halfway off the driveway in a snow drift.

Dude didn't have a shovel or a clue, but was using delivery bags to scoop snow from behind the tires. I grabbed a square shovel and headed out there. Finally after about a half hour and several attempts, he got out. Needless to say, he had to go forward rather than back to get out.

While talking with him he informed me that if he had to call a tow truck it was gonna cost $400 that he would have to pay back.

After our delivery nightmares this week from Fed Ex(Walmart) and Amazon Prime I told my wife my prediction is the home package delivery business isn't long for this world.

I sure hope you're wrong cause I don't wanna pay to go pick up my package at a central location.

You're jogging my memory now. Back when FedEx was terrible around here, I'd have to go pick up packages at the local dollar general.

Everything's got it rough in this snow. We probably have 12-15 on the ground. Here are the turkey this morning trying to get around.

The snow would almost support their weight but I could see them fall through the layers with each footstep.

If I get my favorite Fed Ex driver it’s great; known him and his wife over 40 years

    Same here! :handshake:

I always make sure that the mailbox (and neighbors) is plowed/shoveled out for vehicle approach too.

Around here we have excellent USPS and UPS. Fed EX has been terrible but improving. Rare to have a problem with USPS but did have 1 recently. Never had a problem with UPS.
