Weather guy says we officially got 8” with this storm. Now we’re looking at 30mph gusts tomorrow. Hopefully the sleet we got minimizes drifts.

I measured before the Pats game at 7". Shoveled part of a path in the backyard (gate to gate of the chain link fence)

Went out after the game and snow blowed the driveway. It was 9-10" (not measured). Main goal was to take care of the road plow berm (mailbox to parking area equals ~80'). Didn't do parking area or any paths, just the driveway and berm. Picture from above makes those parts not cleared look like only a couple of inches.

Will go out later and clean everything. Have no idea what has fallen since I was out there last night. Supposed to snow starting again at 6am and lasting all day.

No power outage. Guessing we got about 15in. Possible inches of snow later this afternoon, wrap around snow.

Going to be a busy day ahead.

All I've done so far is shovel out a path for my dog so he could do his morning ritual. If I don't make a path he goes on the closest objects. The snowblower, ash can and stack of firewood. We are around a foot of snow with more expected later. 11 degrees.

Yup, we call it winter in MA too.
No power or other issues, thus far.
I suspect our friends in the southern half of the country may not have fared as well as we did.

Looks like we are more like 9" or 10", according to the experts. Felt like more on the shovel!! LOL

I'm 30 miles north of Canton and we only got about 8-9. Find it hard to believe they doubled that

9-10 inches here at the NJ shore. 1st round of clearing was pretty easy with the backpack blower. the 2nd time out about 3 hours later I had to start the snowblower since it started to change over from snow to sleet. I cleared myself and 2 neighbors out twice and rewarded myself with an old fashioned lol. When I got up this morning everything is encased in ice and were not supposed to get above freezing for a week. Round 3 starts in a few hours to clear out the ice.

YouTube channel "Ryan Hall, Y'all". He does a decent job with his weather forecasts. "Max Velocity" is the more "enthusiastic" YT weather channel...lol. we watch them both

Well last night we measured the snow when we finished cleaning up and had a little over 13", got around two more inches overnight so we ended up with 15" total as of this morning. And looks like we will have it cleaned up just in time for the next possible storm.....lmao.

The snow holds it up! I use it to measure fresh snowfall, not total for the year so it doesn't stay out. If you wanted to leave it out and get a total snowpack depth, you could probably just make a simple wooden base for it to slide into.

Didn't clear the wraparound deck but did an initial pass with the snowblower of most everything, and other than keeping a path off the deck and down the stairs clean, I think that will be it for the day (took 2 hours). Snow is up to 21" of fresh powder since yesterday with more coming pretty much all day today. Will wait for it to end tonight and do another full cleanup tomorrow.

I got about 14”. I already had some on the ground when it started. It’s snowing again now, another couple inches expected.
