22/71, oak and ash splits. Snowmadeggon brought 7-8 of snow and sleet. Not supposed to get out of the 20s this week so its not going anywhere.

11/68. Shoveled ash out this morning and refilled with oak. Burning nice with deep blue/purple flames.

Here's the good news for you!

That snow will settle and evaporate. And If the ground was not frozen, it'll melt-even if your temps are only in the 20's. :handshake:

Just threw in my last 3 splits of Hickory. 18º out and a frozen Ice tundra outside. 6 hours of rain on top of the snow.... 20º out now.

-5 this morning. The wind is supposed to pick up today and blow snow around and send the wind chills down to close to -20.

The 7 day forecast has every night below zero. That's the longest stretch of negative temps I can remember. If it gets below zero it's usually a night or 2, not 7.

The boiler still had quite a bit of wood in it this morning. Topped it off with some more to get me through the day.

16 heading towards a predicted low of 6. I burned a lot of red oak and tulip poplar all day, but just reloaded with ash and a fat overnighter split of white oak.

Down to -1 and going colder. Chunky nigh5 again. Snow so deep my Kawi Mule was fighting to go , went backward better that forward . Shoveling paths from boiler to my wood shed. Cold nights but daytime is tolerable. Today was okay n my insulated bibs. Stayed out a while.

everyone be watchful and safe until this passes

8/70 just loaded the Buck with ash and a split of sbh. Got the snowblower running and did 4 drives. On top of testing positive for covid. Yuck, wife tested positive on Saturday after she had been battling what we assumed was a cold or flu. She said I have lost my taste and smell ding, ding, ding I said I am going to get a couple covid test kits. We believe it to be a mild dose. I already had a big part of the week scheduled off work. Prayers appreciated.
