Winter storm Fern will get here this weekend. Low temps and snow.

wondering if IS can get stove room to 99° if 20 below and 25 mph winds

might need heat house up get margaritas put on some Jimmy buffet music in protest

 

Below zero temps greetings from the U.P. once again this FHC morning.

Wind and snow-shovel and plow-repeat. I don't like running the plow truck in the sub zero temps. But, I hate walking through the snow even more!

No matter as those happy little btu's are just bursting out of the registers and bouncing all around the rooms of the house!

Morning all. Heavy fog layer last night so temps are just above freezing. It will probably clear off today.

After we finished splitting and stacking firewood yesterday, I actually got down into my sewing room to play. Well, I mended a glove for campinspecter and started to reinstall a zipper in a pair of pants.
Today we get another load of firewood delivered so we will work on that. We also have to put dry firewood down in the boiler room. Busy day with firewood.

We won't be getting the really cold temps but I hope everyone who does stays safe and warm.

Make sure his zipper is fixed before you do anything with the firewood. No need for a cold draft while working!

 

Heck, the way your stove burns firewood, you won't be out of wood until the 2030's something.

 

Good morning everyone! I think I follow the weather pretty closely, but am just now reading about 7 inches of snow Sunday night and Monday. Kinda curious how that slipped through the cracks?

Seasonal day 24⁰/32⁰ mostly sunny. It's forecasted that it'll be 20 degrees colder by sunup tomorrow/Saturday.

Possible 2ft of snow starting Sunday morning, through Monday afternoon. A long duration weather event. I'll take the snow over ice.

With wind chills to be -20⁰ Saturday morning, I'll be topping off the deck wood rack this morning.

Making a grocery run this morning. I expect it to be a busy place.
