I'll have the same job next 10 days. At least I have good supply of dry oak, black birch and sugar maple for my job.

It's a chilly one today. I think it got to 4 degrees above zero with a nasty wind.

It's already zero out, negative 19 real feel.

Burning box elder and fir still during the days, and I'll put in higher BTU wood in fur the overnight and again in the AM before I leave for work.

    72° inside.

Single digits tonight, but we do t care in Bloomington! Indiana wins a National title! Running low on wood so for the first time I ordered “boiler wood “ to get me through. Waiting for splitter parts and the bitter cold kept me from cutting small stuff.

we have a warm day Wednesday so fingers crossed. Everyone in the cold sbap, stY warm and enjoy being warm through the labor we all put in

9/68. Furnace ran 30 minutes every hour over night even with the insert packed with oak. Might throw on a pot of scraps and make chicken broth today to add more heat to the house.

Brought up an extra tote of wood yesterday for us and an extra for our neighbor. Glad I checked hers, it was empty. Stay warm everyone!

20/73, mix of oak and ash splits. Looking like a fair amount of snow is headed our way this weekend.

Snowmageddon is in the forecast, so I hope it changes. I don’t have time for that chit.

Another cool morning, burning down the coals from last night's buffet. Probably load up another buffet of soft maple, white oak and ash. We're forecast for freezing rain this weekend.

3* outside and zero wind so it feels a lot warmer than yesterday.

Still plenty of coals and a few sticks of ash left in the boiler from last night. I threw a couple chunks of square wood in there to last until this evening.
