Good of you to stop and help. I'll stop on the country roads but once in the city limits no way.
Those low profile tires so many cars/suvs come with really don't like the series of potholes we call county roads around here.

Man, that accent is rotten. Or should I say, what's left of that accent. Cigarette butts, dog food, ashes, dog hair, and garbage, including some potentially dangerous tools, inches deep. I can only imagine that whatever car they traded it in for, will be treated the same way.

I honestly wouldn't mind having another one of those for screwing around in.....but not in that condition!!

Yup, when I worked for the local Ford store, I felt a little bad for the detail guy...he had to clean up some pretty nasty stuff...but I don't think he minded it, of course he wasn't right in the head either. The sales staff offered him $20 to take a whole spoon full of Dave's Insanity sauce dry, no food, no water.
He did it, but about died choking and gagging...ended up going home sick...owner found out what happened and the sales dept got a "special meeting"

There are definitely some odd ducks out there. On the subject of smoking in the car one vehicle in particular comes to to mind. It was an early 2000s Jeep Liberty. Dude smoked black and milds and used the whole center console and emergency brake handle area as an ash tray. Quite the pile of ashes and butts. :hair:

Don't like that! Depending on how bad off the fellow was someone should have been fired! On a construction site we had a friendly guy that was a laborer and got all the bad jobs. He was struggling against some limitations. Hard worker, everyone liked him. An Ironworker new to the site pulled an especially dirty and dangerous trick on him and then received a "code red" in the parking lot from two of his own union members with another craft (a guy I know) helping. Now ironworkers are not my favorite craft but I had to respect them for plumbing this guy up! I have no use for bullies or even smart azzed car salesman for that matter. Just my $.02.
Sorry for the rant...you touched a nerve!

Just to be clear, said detail guy was in no way special needs, just a goofball with poor judgement, and a big mouth...often "wrote checks" that everyone knew his butt likely couldn't cash...give him credit for trying though! I wouldn't have done it, especially not for only $20.
Sales staff were not bullies...everyone actually got along pretty well most of the time...there may have been 1 or two that could be classified as smart azz however...

Sorry for popping off like that. If he was just a goofball, cocky guy with a bad attitude and poor judgement then I guess he got what was coming. When you said "Not right in the head" that could cover anything from Downs Syndrome to dyslexia to just a butt-head. I naturally thought of the worst, or near worst, case scenario. I have seen a lot of abuses in the construction industry and elsewhere and it is a touchy subject with me. I have taken a deep breath. I feel better now. Still Friends?:handshake:

Just had this pop up on FB yesterday afternoon.

    upload_2026-1-18_2-26-49.png

I went in and looked at some of the comments, and they were stunning. Many people were basically saying, "not my dog, he's big and tough" and then name the breed. I'm sorry, coyotes have been in more fights than your dog ever has - they are survivors and know all the tricks. Your dog may be a "tough" breed (dobie, rottie, GSD etc), but that doesn't mean it necessarily has the drive, intellect, instincts and downright meanness needed to survive an attack. If the dog is mainly a pet, it most likely isn't even in good enough physical shape to give a coyote more than a few seconds of fight (not to mention that pet dogs may be conditioned to NOT bite another animal hard). And, the coyote may not be traveling alone.

Yes, I will grant that some dogs are up to the challenge. But people need to look at this realistically, and not thru wishful thinking or because a breed has a "reputation".

After looking at my last paycheck of 2025, I realized I had used the incorrect income - not accounting for my pre-tax stuff. So, if everything works out the way I believe it will, I won't be owing :dancer:

Well, I guess I would need to see the very beginning of the video of the inside.

My elderly neighbor's car was filled with trash, clothes, old groceries etc. It was also mold filled. Apparently he continually spilled soda in the front and would just toss partly filled cups of soda in the back. He would just throw his change on the front floorboard and it all got stuck in the morass down there. I have no idea how much money (coins and bills) I threw in the dumpster as unsalvageable. I also have no idea how his accelerator worked since there was a good amount of change behind that. He wasn't even doing well financially, so I'm not sure why he treated his change like that.

He would stop to talk as he was entering/exiting his driveway (across the street) and I could smell the stink for several yards away. As an aside, his house was like that too.

Good thing he had a dumpster right there when I cleaned the car out for him so he could sell it for scrap (he was getting ready to go to a nursing home). I had to take a long shower and wash my clothes a couple of times - once adding vinegar, once adding ammonia, to get the stink out.
