26* headed to 40*. Oak to warm house up.
Hand split and stacked about a 1/3 of cord yesterday. Have a touch of the stomache bug, so wasn't feeling up to it. Came in and sat on my a$$, enjoying the fire and watching football.

    Let's go Stillers!!

2" of fresh snow already pushed out of the way of the garage and parking area with the shovels this morning.

More fir and box elder earlier. I'll throw a piece of ash in tonight so there's more coals in the am.

35/68, red oak rounds this morning. Smaller branch wood, maybe 3-5” diameter.

Not too cold tonight, it's 35° & supposed to stay there, 73° in the living room. Burning a mix of pine, walnut, & yellowish mystery wood. I have some of the yellow wood from a neighbor's place. When it's green it's very heavy. Even after 18+ months C,S,&S, it's still kinda heavy. So much so, that I busted a couple of chunks open & put the moisture meter to them. They were around 8%. I'm curious to see how this wood lasts tonight

It's definitely not ash, noticeably heavier and has much bigger growth rings. Probably 2/3s of my inventory is ash. The pictures don't show how yellow it is.
