    With the milder temps I have been having this winter, it's been the cause of re-building a fire at least once a day. These are "cold start" rebuilds.

    There is no need for overnight fires as it would get too hot in the house. If the temp reads 70-71 at bedtime, I will not fire up.


    It looks like we'll have some single digit below zero temps near the end of Jan so maybe, just maybe the wood furnace car run 24/7 for awhile. And of course, if it gets windy again, the house cools off much quicker but I sure don't wish for windy days.

    Wasn't this supposed to be a colder winter??? :smoke:

    Looks pretty familiar to me. I hope the food industry comes along quickly, so hard to find healthy food in the grocery stores here. I don't appreciate paying extra for organic.
