Did you ever figure out exactly what cutter you were using? Lots of tools work okay to rip panels, even the score and snap method someone already mentioned, but getting a clean cut to cut length across the ridges is a real challenge.

My ancient Wiss shears, like these, do better than anything else I've used, but I would like to have something a little better/cleaner:

That said, the boat is in the garage and the garage is complete enough to keep it dry. More snow and rain is coming tomorrow night and this weekend.


Once the tool(s) arrive, we'll get that bottom 2-3 ft done. I'll keep you updated with the results of the tools

Nice work all around. Good wood hoarding and carport building.

 

It's nice to not have to worry about my boat being not under a roof for the first time this winter. It takes a big weight off of my shoulders.

Now I just need to get the mtd log splitter throttle linkage back to usable again. I got it to start and run again after cleaning the bowl out, but it didn't want to do anything more than idle. I ran out of daylight the other day after work. Now it's pretty cold out. I might need to bring it out the garage to work on it where is not quite as cold and I can get a heater on me.
