1 restaurant repeat, another repeat, 1 new today
I love making instead of spending $ on my time off. Christmas sloth mode is over.

It warmed up, so sales have cooled down. We had 2 loads go out after the trailer load on Dec 17th...
We had to cut a load of 16" from 1 yr old oak logs, yes it's still wet, stacked under his shed for next year... 20251218_115521.jpg
A friend from 2 counties away brought the tote we gave him last year for a refill... 20251218_114952.jpg

2 repeats and 1 new today. I have entered the fits and starts segment of nashville hot. Hopefully I can have a relaxing day of splitting and stacking tomorrow.
On my last delivery today I saw the biggest Deodar Cedar I have ever seen. Trunk was 6-8’ diameter. Homeowner said the property was built in 1910. Pre Nashville fake cowboy mansion era.

Just buy the wood already cut, split and "seasoned" from some sucker on the cheap, tripple the price and spend your free time getting hammered, making quality ads and talking sheet.

Ya know I don’t think I have the desire, skill, fitness, time, money to buy wood, or make fancy ads.
You can’t buy time with 6 or 9 figures and I sure af despise any amount spent behind the wheel on the interstate.

Haven't been eyeing the stand much due to stagnicity. Went to check today and had moved nearly a dozen bundles. Did a quick refill from the shed stock.

Got a call from one of the deer camps wanting a refill. We picked up the 2 empty totes, one was a mix of green wood (oak, elm, gum) which will be great next fall and stacked the other tote from the shed of premium white oak and hickory. Loaded totes and tractor for delivery 20251230_161600.jpg
Sent him the pictures and he was welll satisfied. 20251230_163624.jpg
After a long day with 2 grandsons and Sister-in-law with Dr appointments, we got home in time to load a tote of 14" oak/hickory at dusk. Took it to a repeat that was completely out of wood... 20251231_184413.jpg
Got another tote of 18" oak/ hickory scheduled for tomorrow

I hope by next weekend I need to make some more bags. I kinda need room where the source splits are sitting.

That's ok. We had a deer hunting trip that afternoon. He's an older fellow, has a BX Kubota with loader. Plus he was bragging about how he could back his 28' 102" wide trailer in there...even asked if I wanted him to back ours in there... :rofl: ...
If we had known where he wanted it, we could have left the last tote on the trailer for him. Normally we would have that on the F150, but both places were close, making 1 trip count...

Should have made some bags yesterday but that wind was cutting pretty hard. Had enough in the shed to refill with half dozen bags left in reserve.

Well, if you had done your 500 perfect pull-ups, ran 25 miles and hog tied a bear with one hand, that wind would be no problem...you would have 100 bundles done by the 4PM :coldone: time...lol...

Glad you had some in reserve, my friend
