Oh no, I hope she is able to have it taken care of quickly. Horrible time of year to find optional** medical establishments open and able to take in emergency patients.

**I stated "optional" because teeth and eye health are not considered as "medically necessary"

I did have an appointment for a root canal, but it was giving me problems, so decided to take the extraction appointment that I could get into earlier. It turned out that this surgeon said I made the right decision, the tooth would not have been a good candidate for the r.c.

Best of luck to your wife, hope all goes well, and happens soon. Fortunately mine is feeling pretty dam good for what just happened yesterday morning.

Caffeine! Will get more time with the family next two days. They will be leaving Thursday and Friday. We have all just been hanging out together. Meals, movies, cards, playing with the little ones, and we all went bowling last night. Good times. Our local bowling alley was recently bought and the new owner had contractors completely remodeled the entire place, floor to ceiling. Added all the new technology for the bowling lanes/games, and new TV screens all over the place for sports games. He has really done a nice job with it.

We had my brother in law's family up for a few days. My three kids are 15-25 all living at home and his three are 14-21. Everyone played board games and card games. It makes me happy seeing everyone hanging out together, talking and playing together rather than on the computers and phones. It was cold and foggy, but we still sat around the fire pit while bbqing and smoking ham.

That bowling alley sounds awesome! I hope the new owner does well from it. Enjoy the next few days with the family!

Out playing with my new cordless saw. Tooth siye and power are perfect fr saplings, and branches of various sizes up to six inches so far. Back in the game of burning branches for daytime burns which makes th3 css go further.

reloaded the fireplace wood supply on the front porch. Will have a NY Eve burn for fun.

Back to snowing here. Caught a few deer sneaking through, looking for something to munch on.

Snowing hard here. Gotta go pick up the stepdaughter at work and deliver her to her apartment. Four wheel drive got me nominated for the job.

She's toughing it out. We have leftover tylenol with codeine from some other issue in the last decade. She's dealing, and actually she just fell asleep after midnight here CST.

We'll hit the ER tomorrow to get her more meds ( antibiotics definitely) until she can get to the endodontist. That endodontist will be out of pocket/ FSA because oddly enough after just renewing work insurance, there are no specialists, endodontists, in our network that take your insurance. Great. They all take Delta dental, not Principal anymore as of Fall . This is what happens when your HR director works out of the Georgia location with 20 employees when 90% of the company employees work in Wisconsin and Tennessee and she's the one making the insurance decisions. Good job. I'll be talking with HR when I go back Monday. What a crock.

Too old to party-I don't think I would be able to survive the recovery any more!!!

And we did get hammered with snow. 24" would be a conservative estimate. The truck got a workout plowing but it wasn't near as bad as the Thanksgiving storm since the temps did drop and the snow that fell wasn't totally all heavy and wet. But, it did manage to coast the trees once again and the trees once again bent over the driveway.

I had to wade "sack deep" through snow and cut down a bunch of smaller stuff-up to about 6"-7" ash typically. For the time being, they are all laying in the ditch and woods along the driveway. The little battery stihl was easy to handle as opposed to lugging the husky rancher 61 through that deep snow. :handshake:

Ended up losing internet for a few days; power never dropped out other than a couple of brief interruptions....thank you!

This past spring/summer was my time for dental work. Three trips of over 100 miles one way to a specialist-endodontist. Plus, 6 trips "locally" of almost 100 miles one way. Everything got completely taken care of without any extractions!

I feel (literally) for you Mrs Horkn and Gasifier !!!

    ?????????

Makes me wonder why you don't have LP delivered?

Bad back, bad hip, bad shoulder along with diminished strength and whatever other ailments you suffer from.....you're tempting fate, Dennis!
