Deal! I've been letting fires go out on the regular. Right at freezing now, 74 inside. No reload this morning, probably relight this evening.
30/73 cherry on cruise. Drizzle & damp out, just took the trash to the dump, Piper rode along to bark at cats, dogs and horses on the journey.
78/70. But it looks like Monday I get to rejoin the burning crowd. My name is Mike, and I'm a hoarder in Ok. Lopi Endeavor and Republic 1250
43F out 70F in oak not burning much of late to keep us warm but that is going to change next week as single digit lows return
35/70, oak. Scavenged some more old punky oak rounds from the woods and split them. Decided to let them air out a while in the barn. Probably try to put them outside on dry windy days and burn them at the end of the season.
Pretty uneventful the past couple of days weather wise. That's good 38° and blah pretty much all day. 76° ash and fir in the quadrafire.
Still 35/70, still oak. Headed today to make sure there’s fuel for the Bobcat and gas for the generator and snowblower. Looks like tomorrow might be a rough day outside. Will probably service the chainsaws and dig out a couple logging chains in case any trees fall across the road.
42f at 5:00 AM, now 28f at 8:23 AM. 0.07" rain/drizzle but supposed to switch to snow/sleet with 50+MPH winds this afternoon.
Yeah we had 2 days no sun, all clouds here in WI. Yesterday the dog rolled in, it's still here this am. Today is likely going to get nastier. Rain and up to 40 mph winds by this evening. It's 40 out now, it's supposed to rain this am until it turns to snow this evening. Box elder and paper birch in the stove now. 73° in Then it will drop temps and set up the top layer of mud that was starting where we're putting the carport up.
Cold and snowing all day outside, warm and toasty inside, burning wood. LOL I pulled a muscle in the right leg Friday so I'm mostly just resting today as I know tomorrow morning before work I'll need to blow the driveway.
