What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

This warm weather in December is rough on allergies.

 

We that are South of the Mason-Dixon Line would really appreciate it if y’all would keep those frozen grits up that-a-way.

 

My wife is slowly getting better. Heck I'm 4 days into this crappy flu/ cold stuff and I still barely have any appetite and am still congested and coughing. I'm down 8 lbs since Monday morning when I last felt regular. I was going to write "normal" but we all know that nobody is normal, especially not myself.

I'd like to get me and my wife back to our normal.

 

Lost most of our snow yesterday without getting the heavy winds, just record high temps. The front blowing in now, where I am getting some pretty good wind and gusts, was supposed to bring snow, but I think that part was cancelled. The next snow we are supposed to get is Tuesday morning. The ONLY time I was hoping for decent weather. I'm hoping it holds off until after 7am (Pretty sure the Gods are laughing and taking notes at my expense - LOL)

Pictures taken yesterday at 12:45 pm and again at 3:45 pm. Thursday night still had about 9" of the white stuff and I know I could still see light snow cover on the paths early Friday morning.

Yes, it was this dark and gloomy all day


Until, right at "sunset" (no actual sun, but much lighter sky as this front pushes thru and the next lines up). The norm this December is when the sun DOES make an appearance, it is only for 5 minutes at sunrise and maybe again for 5 minutes at sunset


Ground is still frozen, so when the temp dropped around sunset yesterday, it should have quit melting.

 

Yup my yard is greener than bogieb above as the winds were acting like a giant hair dryer on the yard. Heck gust to 40 mph now but at 20° to freeze whatever waters puddled. On a positive note the driveway is clear

 

Beginning Monday, our temps are forecasted to be in the 30's with Christmas day in the low 40's.

 

At the hospital job for some overtime work today and tomorrow is 8 hours of double time

 

Not that kind of regular silly

 

We've lost most of our snow as well. It's already over freezing


I need to get ready and do a little shopping. Then back to doing nothing. I'm on vacation until the 5th of January. I've got plenty to do though.

The quick part for me passed already. It's been a slow recovery for me unfortunately. My wife is probably a little better health wise than me, despite getting sick days later than I did. She's probably 60% healthy now and I'm probably a couple of percentage points behind her. That's fine though. When she's sick I have to do a lot of the stuff that she automatically does around the house. It was full bachelor night for dinner two nights ago when I made 2 corn dogs for dinner for myself. I had to pack my lunch for work the next day too. Good thing we had lot of food at work, like cheese and sausage and other snacks delivered to our department from suppliers. I almost grabbed a beer to put in my lunch bag, and then grabbed a soda. Lol

I went out and bought some gifts for my wife today. Did a little online shopping earlier but there's stuff available locally that I know she'll love, and honestly some stuff she simply needs replacements, but has made due with old stuff.

 

It's kind of gratifyingly fun pooping in a box and sending to some stranger.

 

Your Christmas gift from me is due to be delivered on Tuesday!!
