I got a laugh when I read this as it was 8 degrees here this morning. 8 C so in your temps it would be 46 F It is rather warm even for us at this time of year.

It's still flurrying but I went out and cleared the driveway. Spread some rocksalt where one is likely to walk.

Time to sit in front of the fire and have a cup of coffee with a glug or three of Fireball.

Morning all. Sky is clearing this morning. When we headed out for breakfast, I could see the sliver of moon still in the sky. It could be a nice day today.

I have to adjust the timers on my outdoor Christmas lights. It is darker sooner in the evening and later in the morning that what I set it for. Our street has a lot of houses lit up at night. I will try to get pics of the downtown lights tonight. We have a logging truck decorated as Santa's sled and a feller buncher decorated cutting down a decorated tree. Only in a logging community!

Bookkeeping, house cleaning and hopefully some Christmas baking today. Not putting up the Christmas tree quite yet. Maybe later this week. I have a church council meeting for tonight so the bookkeeping comes first.

    Everyone have a great day.

Curious what you're using for a snowblower on the deck. I've been toying with the idea of getting a second snowblower just for the deck (large wraparound on two sides of the house). I currently use a sleigh shovel, and I have three sections of railing that are pinned so I can remove them and just push the snow off the deck (it's one story up due to the raised basement). I'm probably going to rule out most electric snowblowers due to the amount of snow that comes of the front roof onto the deck and is compacted (whoever designed this house was probably NOT from NH...who designs a roof in NH that dumps the snow on the deck? :picard:).

Have you ever had an issue with the snowblower damaging the deck?

    It's a Troy-bilt 2410. It used to be my dad's.

    It's a backup to my larger Troy-bilt 2810.

It's handy on the deck. Now real damage. Maybe a scratch on a 40yr deck. Not going to bother me.

It'll get used twice a storm. The 2nd time is when I pull snow off the roof. We have a tendency for ice dams.

I've also used a 14" electric plug in, single stage on the deck. Still better than shoveling.

    Good morning, members.

Wind chills in negative numbers. 12⁰/25⁰ sunny. It'll be a bright day with reflective sun off fresh snow.

I'll be doing a bit of snow relocation. Plenty of wood in the deck rack.

Well have my brother and wife, staying with us tonight, as they are traveling through the area.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 22⁰/44⁰ breezy, feels like 17⁰, but the Drolet had it a nice 73⁰ when I got home from work this morning. Reload on some nice coals and she's chooching again, even keeping my coffee warm while breakfast is cooking. Decided I'd cook the Goat Town Queen breakfast, cheese grits, sausage patty for me, bacon for her and over easy eggs.
Got to finish loading a cord of oak/hickory mix and take it on a road trip to N Macon before lunch.

Good morning. 11f at this hour, warming to 40 by midweek. Heading out to check some lake ice conditions soon, and hopefully finding a successful fishing spot.

Morning all. Dark outside. Sounds like it is windy but so far no rain. Dogs decided to get up and play at 5:00 AM. They were not going to go back to sleep after being outside. So I am up early this morning.

Yesterday afternoon we had an atmospheric river over us for most of the evening. Heavy, heavy rain. Driving was a challenge.
Probably more rain today but hopefully not too heavy.

Went to do my Christmas baking and found I was missing ingredients. Too wet to go shopping so this morning first thing I will be shopping and then baking.

    Everyone have a great day.

It was -30 two hours north at a friend’s home yesterday morning. We dropped to -15 here at the house.
