nope, never even been in the place. I did turn around once in their parking lot though when they were closed on a Sunday. In fact, none of my saws have ever even been to a dealer. Not sure I want to give them a ported saw to work on, they may lose their mind. They are on the way to Green Bay. So every time I go there and back I drive right by there.
It has a case pressure sensor and a case temperature sensor. No Mass airflow sensor or oxygen sensor in the exhaust. As far as I know, they’re similar to mtronic/autotune in that they send lean and rich signals looking for an increase or decrease in RPM and adjust accordingly
Yessir. He's high volume on all three brands and I buy a lot of unnecessary stuff from him so I have his personal cell waiting for the call... LOL...
Group buys are still a thing on a lot of forums. I remember on my Ford Truck Enthusiasts forum where I organized a group buy on Weigh Safe hitches. Got everyone a discount and sold pallets of them to the point I got mine for free! Granted, that's not the norm but we are all looking for a discount all the time and sometimes the stars align.
So, now my OCD is tingling. If I were to buy a 564, I'd be at 3 Husky saws and only two Stihl. The imbalance would keep me up at night. Like when I rode a Harley. Had to be a Road King as it had pipes on both sides. Models with stacked pipes would make me ride in circles until I crashed... LMAO... So, what Stihl would I need to keep the force aligned????
Guys used to do group buys on off road parts on a forum I belonged to. The seller was local to me and only did online sales. I picked up 5 sets of Pitbull Rocker tires to deliver in Northeast to save guys the shipping costs. Guy ran it out of his garage at first, then rented a storefront in town. A year or two later it abruptly closed and he owned a bunch of people money/parts. He had also moved away from his house, somehow the online guys tracked him down in a few months.
I can see that you and I should probably do business together. Zero ported saws and 4 stock saws is the same imbalance. Not good for anyone’s OCD
SHHHHH, who asked you! Besides, my little T435 is not ported and neither is my 10-10S. They aren't 100% stock, but they are not ported either. LOL
Yeah but spend the money on porting a saw or put it towards another saw... There is the dilemma! The 261 probably needs it the most. It has been my biggest disappointment. The 540XP II would need it second. The 500 has never not put a smile on my face. Although... and this is totally off topic... I had a 69 Camaro that I bought in 1993. I sold it in 97/8 so I could "grow up" which was the same year I bought my first saw. A Husky 257 followed shortly after by a Stihl 019t. Well, that was a mistake. Not the saws but selling my car. I've had regret for nearly 30 years on that front... Well didn't I get on a group on FB called "Lost Muscle Cars" back in 2022/3. Within 36 hours, volunteers there helped me find the current owner (4 owners later) in WI. I put it out there that if he ever wanted to sell to please call me first. Well, didn't my phone ring this past October. 2000 miles in 2 days and she was home again. So, long story short... I have a bigger engine to port this spring...
Well, Powerball is at 1 billion tomorrow night so when I win, I'll buy a 564 for both of us sir... But if by some horrible twist of fate I loose and you win, I expect a 564 from you...
