A small load is better than none! Way to get it done Dave! Its a Ford...overload it to the hilt! I would...wait I do!
New customer from post #7922 above called yesterday. Best wood he's ever burned since he got his stove in 2003. He burns 3-4 cords per Winter based on what he told me. His normal wood guy cant deliver right away so he called me. He reserved the other two half cords of dry nuggets I have on hand. I sold another half cord to a new customer (referral) to be delivered this month. I love getting positive feedback.
That's great, but where's your fancy ad...? And did you do your pull ups first? I mean, we really don't need to know about your PULL UP...
That's a nice couple load of sweet-smelling apple Brad. Do you sell it green, or let it dry for a bit?
Ill let it go 9-12 months before offering it up as smoker wood by the bundle, bag 0' nuggets, or loose. I have a customer who might be interested for their outdoor masonry fireplace so I may offer them half cords and if they accept I'll be making quite a few more visits to the orchard. Im planning a few more anyway. Wondering how much more a cord of apple would be worth percentage wise over "standard" common firewood? Thinking like a firewood entrepreneur here.
No idea, my crabapple is still sitting in its tote and I have not made any effort to sell any yet. Mine is not as pretty as yours as it is random lengths up to 16". Maybe another 1/4-cord to cut/split. Maybe I can try to do better with it.
Only 1 cord load yesterday. But, I have a good excuse . It was all hand loading due to the temperature
"only a cord" "only 34 degrees below zero" You guys are built differently up there. Do you notice much of a difference being outside when it's 20 below to 30 below? -20 is the coldest I've experienced so far.
Half cord load of random mixed nuggets. Same customer from post #7947 above called for another load. He cant rave enough about how well this wood burns. (this load is two years dried) Reinforces the fact of what we endorse here at FHC. The best firewood is truly DRY firewood, regardless of species Half cord load of barkless black lost went earlier this week to a regular who called for a load.
