Didn't want to Sandhillbilly thread We had our little Christmas festival Sunday night, Dec 7th. Got a few pictures and a video of the lights I'll put up later. Lighting the Christmas tree at the community center At the Deepstep town hall... The youngsters got in on singing too... Inside they had cider, cookies and coffee. Also had some parts of the town history on display... Old telephone switchboard Barber chair Cash register from one of the country stores... Some residents reading history and enjoying the train... A friend of mine brought the train he built over for the kids to ride. It's built on a JD lawn tractor... The kids had fun... Yours truly was the conductor/engineer... The rear car has a motor on it, so it slowly spins as we ride. I have a switch in the cab to turn it off... It wasn't good weather...low 40's and misting rain...but fun was still had..
We had a neighbor that had 2-3 firepits going, with his daughter doing face paints. I didn't get to walk around and take pictures too much.
As I sit here at 20 below outside, your pics are warming my heart, as my stove warms the rest of me.. I went out side and had less on then the conductor of that train
Jeff that looks like a great time with friends. What really caught my eye is the old switchboard, chair, table and cash register. Then there is that picture by the switchboard. I would not enjoy climbing thos stairs.
And that barber chair looks real comfy. I bet the barber didn't have any trouble getting the customers out of the chair
