Lots of snow and more snow. Had a few cold shots also. I lost count but definitely over 2ft and 3-4 ft drifts. It's not even close to Xmas, guess it's gonna be one of those winters.

The snow on the car was only 2 days worth.

    Dell has a couple that are reasonably priced a 24" for $580, a 27" for $730.
Dell 27 All-in-One Desktop Computer | Dell USA

One thing now is prices have/are going to go up as memory and storage prices have jumped drastically. The 32Gb DDR5 kit I got a year ago for around $85 is now $200 or higher. SSDs have also gone up.I got a Black Friday deal on a 2Tb nvme drive, $130 but most 2Tb nvme drives are now $180-$200+. nVidia just announced they are no longer providing the graphic card memory along with the video card processor to the companies that make graphic cards, they will have to source the memory on their own. So video card prices will be going up. AMD will probably do the same at some point. Until the AI bubble bursts, pc hardware will be expensive.

Thanks! I found this one tonight www.newegg.com/p/2NR-000T-00005?Item=9SIBRYRK309841

    From 8 to 16 RAM
    2.6 to 3.5Ghz processor

    962GB HD to 512GB.

Right now I use Telegram and I check the Task Manager when it gets too loud, it says GPU high/very high. Is that the graphics card?

My computer says graphic card 113MB

    New one says
    Graphics
GPU/VGA Type AMD Radeon Vega 3

    Is the new one better?

Vega 3 significantly outperforms most older Intel HD Graphics variants

Your current computer more than likely has an Intel CPU that has a GPU built in to the CPU and not a separate video card. That AOC system has an AMD CPU with a GPU built in to it as well. But it does perform a bit better than older Intel HD graphics.

CPUs with built in graphics use part of the system memory as there is no separate, dedicated video only memory. That can slow down performance on an older system.

I have had a couple AOC monitors over the years and have had no issues with them. No idea on how reliable their all-in-one systems are.

Holy cow, that is cold for down there. It got a bit colder here, but not by much. When I left for an appointment at 8:45am yesterday morning, it had risen to 3* (don't know what the lowest was). It has been a colder than normal period for the last 4-6 weeks. averaging 10* colder in November, and so far, 20* colder than the average for December. I've already been doing cold mitigation in my under-house garage because it got down to 36* already. Have a space heater in there now, but yesterday morning had to help it by opening the door to the basement, and letting the P61a heat it.

BTW, that is the same station I have

Indeed, So many cloudy days too! Very little solar has been gathered to off set our e-bill. Barely enough to keep the power station charged out in the garage.

How do you like yours? I wish they made one with a few more remote sensors. I'd like to monitor the detached garage and attic as well. Otherwise I have no complaints and it works well!!

I'm not sure if this is a continuation of a conversation we had previously (and I've forgotten about)? I use quick oats all the time - oatmeal with a banana in it is my preferred breakfast.

I'd like at least one more sensor to put in the shed. But, it looks like to have more than 3 separate sensors (separate from the home unit), you need to go to a model that is app based - without the home unit. I'm not doing that. And, I know for a fact you can't get another home unit and use separate sensors for that.

It is and there is a difference between instant Oatmeal and Quick or 1 minute Oatmeal and that difference is 75 mg or in my case 150 mg.

Shucks, Thats what I was thinking of doing. Guess I might look into the app based or maybe another brand. I'd really like to keep on the garage due to the power station that's out there.

Post a picture of the back of the sensors some of them actually allow for 8.

Yes, that is true, 1-minute oats has 0mg sodium since the ingredients are only oats. Whereas they add ingredients, including salt, to even the plain quick oats. I use both types depending on what I am doing with them.

This model specifically state up to 3 sensors can be added to the display. This happens to come with the 3 sensors that it can use.

    upload_2025-12-8_2-24-48.png

I also know for a fact a 4th can't be added, nor can a separate station be used for other sensors. I already tried that (I originally had a 1 sensor model - the closest sensors win the contest for both stations and they ignored anything else).

I believe they used to have another station that could take up to 6, but I don't see it any more. If I am remembering correctly, the display was very simplistic with just the basics of temp and Rh - no storage of hi/low temps or any other functions. plus, the display was so small that I wouldn't be able to see it anyway.
