Just a heads up to anyone interested in coming to the Central PA GTG at Blair County Game Fish and Forestry (shooting range) it will be June 19th, 20th and 21st 2026. It happens to be father's day weekend. That seems to be the only open weekend.

I know that's kind of a bummer and some people probably won't be able to make it and that is understood.

I will be updating with the usual info after the new year as usual.

One update we did get a log truck load if logs delivered so I won't have to be so stressed dropping tree's and making sure there's enough wood.
The OTHER guy who was supposed to delivered the wood that we had scheduled ended up being a no show. Luckily we found another more reliable source.
I think for starters we should finish up the pile that's up on the mountain before we move to the log truck load. The stuff that we did manage to get split on the hill has been put away.

We've had a few calls so far for the firewood ministry and have delivered a few dump truck loads to some needy people. I am surprised that we haven't gotten more calls yet.

That is some good stuff! You should try Blocher's breakfast sausage, bacon and their snack sticks and bologna! All made in house and I think it's neck and neck with the apple sausage. If you like smokey stuff you'll love Blocher's products.

Blocher's is only two blocks farther up the hill from Roll's.

Wait till the end of January. Thats when people will start running low. Not that I have the problem but that's when alot of my annual bills come due like car and homeowner insurance. Property taxes etc..

We will doing our annual early bird supper here at the Overkill House that Thursday for anyone who comes out early (we ended up going out to our favorite local brewery for music trivia with T.Jeff Veal and Carol last year and had a great evening!) and will be hosting our seemingly popular wood fired pizza night at the stone oven on Friday evening. Just putting it out there.

I think that we talked in a text a little while back.

I am not sure exactly what kind of hookup that you're looking for.
They don't have sewage or water. They just have 120v outlets that are on the trap house.

This year's GTG are going to be like the last four that we've had.

Blair County Game Fish and Foresty
301 Riggles Gap Sportsmen Rd, Altoona, PA 16601

I have also included the website (no title)

Anyone attending the GTG please make sure that you check in at the clubhouse when you arrive!

People can start arriving on Friday morning (because they shoot trap on Thursdays) who will be camping on site. The back road will be open to the trap range as it it easier to get campers up that road. Signs will be out directing people at usual.

Plates, napkins, plastic ware and cups will be provided.
There is good cold spring water that is always running for water if you'd like to bring your own containers.

Food/ meals that will be provided:

Friday 19th Supper: will be planning on pizza (hopefully at Scotty Overkill's again)! If not we can order out.

    Saturday 20st
    Breakfast:
Eggs, apple sausage, bacon and fried potatoes.

Lunch: (provided by the club) hamburgers, hot dogs and maybe some of there ox roast sandwiches that they had last year.

    Supper: brisket, chicken, pulled pork.

Everyone is welcomed to bring their favorite covered dish and or desserts to fill in any gaps as to what is already provided.

Sunday is the farwell day. Any leftover food will be in the cooler's in the outdoor kitchen and you can feel free to get some food on the go if you wish.

Alcohol is allowed after hours and must stay on the trap range as long as it doesn't get out of control and only when the guns are away and the work is done for the day.

4 wheelers, side by sides are welcome as long as you check with the club to see what trails that you are allowed to ride on as long as you don't tear the place up.

Extra splitters and tractors/ machines to help with the work are welcome

Anyone who is a part of the GTG and helping to cut and split wood is allowed to shoot on the range for free.

We will be planning on having a raffle again.

Bring what you want for donations. If no one is interested we can just pass around a hat.

Don't forget to bring your favorite firearms!

Let's all have a good time get some work done and enjoy everyone's company as we always do!
