Kinda weird how that was not widely taught in public schools before I graduated in '05. I wonder if it's in history books now?

It's been well known since it happened, but I didn't learn about it until I was long out of public schools. Which makes sense considering the government is the entity that pulls the strings on what students learn. Why teach them things that make them question their own government? It's much easier to sweep certain parts under the rug, and stick to the narrative that we can do no wrong, and if you question anything you're un-American. The emphasis of public education has always been the ability to absorb and regurgitate facts. That is the metric used to define whether a person is smart or not. Critical thinking is an afterthought.

What do you think about that comet coming towards earth? I lean towards it's a distraction for something (maybe global finances?) meanwhile WWW is watching podcasts on youtube about it.

Another distraction. Look here, not there. I think podcasts are a great platform for the free flow of ideas, but some of them are hosted by people on the gov't payroll (intelligence community/acronym agency types) so I'm slightly weary. Lex Fridman is one of them, and I'm not convinced that Shawn Ryan is a "former" CIA contractor like he claims to be. Many fall into the controlled opposition category, or act as gatekeepers at the very least.

In school I learned of the war but not internment camps. The farmhouse at the end of my grandparents lane to the farm was a Japanese family. The daughter who ended up running it married a Japanese man they was sent to a camp in California. He was in his teens, allowed one suitcase, his family had to leave all their possessions except what would fit their suitcases. Meanwhile in California WWW's grandpa that was a sherriff ended up being the dog breeder/training and was in charge of security at an interment camp too.

I don't even believe Alex Jones is an organic kook anymore. Supposedly his family has ties to the CIA. Another gatekeeper. Before there was Alex Jones, there was a man named Milton William Cooper, who believed Jones was a complete fraud. Cooper was also a controversial figure, but the man accurately predicted 9/11 and even named Bin Laden as the one who would be blamed, and this was well before September 11th, when his name was unknown outside of American intelligence. He also foreshadowed his own death at the hands of federal agents on his front door step. His book Behold, A Pale Horse is supposedly required reading for anyone that really wants to go down a rabbit hole. I heard you have to buy one of the original publications though, since the new ones are highly edited...

There’s us and there’s our government. Same as in other countries. I draw a distinction between the people and the structure that rules over the people. Most foreigners I’ve spoken with do the same.

I love my country but fear my government.
Don't forget most of this country prior to WWII didn't hate hitler, there were quite a few supporters back than..
Ford. GE. Kodak, Alcoa, IBM and several others did business with them. did we really defeat fascism or did we transplant it here?
mass surveillance was something authoritarians did and america had the higher moral ground.
Um lets see LPR, FLOCK AI, ring cameras linked together with an AI working in the background.

It's definitely found a home here.
I firmly believe that we are in way way deeper trouble than any of us could possibly imagine.
And that this point with the tech the government has a "revolt" in that sense would be near impossible.
The best we can hope for is to move away from the population, the cameras, the Internet a and just exist

I got banned from hearth.com because they are legitimate communists over there.
Starting to look like the "establishment" has a strong hold here to.

Im gonna consider leaving this site.
I have no desire to interact with people that support "the man".
I have to do enough of that in my day to day life
