I bought a 55" replacement tv as the one I was using developed a vertical line in it.

The old one is a 47" and it's amazing how much lighter the new one is-even with it being larger. It's for the basement setup that I have. When 99 lbs is watching shows that I can't stand, and there's no puttering on the work bench, I'll sit down there and watch tv.

Still learning about it. It's a Roku..........hope I didn't mistakenly subscribe to anything when I was setting it up! :headbang: When I was just about done, 99 checked in on me and asked

"Do you know what you're doing?"

    "I think so"

I guess I'll find out next billing cycle!

Stay on the mend savemoney , I fight double vision while driving, mostly at night. Closing one eye helps, but hard to do very long. Started after some eye surgery 26 years ago.

Thanks BB, still shopping. Hoping a decent size/wattage might be go on sale. We're used to the bigger ones with good wattage. And..... Our kitchen has black/stainless appliances, I found a white one but I would like black.

Other option is handle or push button open to open door. I've never had a push button.

I require 1000 plus wattage because otherwise it takes to long to heat anything example

Thank you, the stiff springs on handle pull microwave that died was an issue for all of us.

Ended up with this one, to get more cu ft or watts was atleast a $100 increase. I'm okay with the price as long as it lasts atleast a few years. And, it's black with push button door.

Got a lot done on Saturday ( technically yesterday)

Friday I went and bought a nice dryer, got it down the stairs safely and all hooked up today. I also hauled and stacked a good half cord of firewood in the shed bay for 2026-27 season. We also got our Christmas tree, a little later than typically, but we got one. About a 7' Douglas fir because they were out of grand firs. So Sean we have Douglas fir here. Lol. We had a Douglas fir Christmas tree a few years ago as well. I also hung the wreath on the house, and put the laser light outside to shine red and green lasers on the house.

I tend to prefer a handle. I've had one push button one that got squirrely after a few years (few, meaning 5-6 years). It still worked, but sometimes I had to push the button a couple of times (and who has time or patience for that - LOL). Or, it could be that I wouldn't push the button hard enough, or from an angle. I don't have that issue with a handle. I think the "pocket handle" is best - nothing to catch clothing on.

And........some good news on the doug fir. It seems to be the preferred firewood of many on FHC; so you can repurpose it after Christmas!

    :thumbs: :rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:

I guess I've had a pretty good run on a microwave oven. In 1985 after getting home from the Army we went to JC Penney and got their last year's top of the line microwave on clearance. It's still sitting on our countertop and gets used everyday. I probably just jinxed it...

We are still using the cheap Walmart microwave that I bought in probably early 90's...the only thing that I have ever done to it is to replace the mica waveguide board that is inside covering the magnetron area...when you hear the arc and see the sparks, generally that is all that needs replaced...and you can buy universal mica boards online, cut them to size/shape with a scissors, then drill/punch the holes for the retainer pins by tracing the old one.
The first time mine arced/sparked I took it to a local repair guy, he replaced that board for $20-30. Years later when I had him do it again, he was getting ready to close his shop and I was chatting him up, he told me that board could be bought online for cheap, and replaced diy. He said when food splatters on the board, over time it gets fried to a crisp, sometimes until it turns to carbon, then it can cause that arc/sparks.
He also said putting something too small in the microwave can cause it to happen easier too...like just a pad of butter. He said if you need to warm up something small, put a cup of water in too...I dunno, but it has kept this cheap Goldstar going all these years!

My first was a 75 Honda mt125 Elsinore that originally was street legal, but all lighting except the headlight was gone when I got it. Oil injected 2 stroke for the street. Lol I only used it off road. I never had a title for it.
