    New house, new stove questions.

One room has a masonry fireplace that's been converted with a wood stove insert. The small label in the corner says Pacific Energy. Can anyone ID the model so I can get a manual for it? Anyone know if it happens to be any good or if there's anything I need to know about it (only prior experience is with an Ideal Steel, for reference).

    Have you contacted Pacific Energy?

Sent an email with the same photo. Radio silence for a couple of days now. It's not too surprising since it's the holiday season. Thought maybe you guys would have a quicker answer for me.

Good looking set up! Have you had the surround off? Any chance you can see the tag? If not it might be a good time to check out the install, how the liner is connected and all that fun stuff.

Iirr, brenndatomu is pretty knowledgeable with different stoves. If he doesn't know maybe he can remember someone who would.

Probably fastest way is to look on the sides and bottom of the unit for the tag. By far the easiest

That looks like it might be a PE Alderlea T5 insert LE?
I can't speak for that model, but PE doesn't make junk...I would say it's above average stuff.

Without a manual, I have no idea how to get the surround off of it to be able to look for a tag.

I checked a picture of that model and what I have doesn't have the ornamentation that the Alderlea does.

I haven't gotten the surround off. That's one of the things I want to learn how to do from the manual. Before I light it up, I'll be having someone come out to inspect everything.

Looks very similar to the "Summit" model I had in my house that I sold in 2010.

I bought it in 2001 and had zero complaints about it.

Either a PE summit or PE super.
