29 / 67 this morning. Fair bed of coals from last night. 3 nice splits of oak and hot coffee.

Woke up to 28/67. Not a thing burning right now but a little oak going in the Lopi to warm things up.

I have 26 on the mercury, 71 inside. Woke up and gave the Englands full throttle to burn down a nice coal bed before the mornings reload.

22/70 stove clean out this morning. Lodgepole does not leave much ash. 1” of snow on the ground.

Falling temps throughout the day until the goal of about "0" is reached. I'm betting that we'll slip under that a touch.

Looks like a couple more inches of snow.

    Red oak in the Kuuma.

    23. Supposed to hit 35 today then drop to 10 tonight.

Put some more walnut and pear in the boiler this morning. I'll load it with some better stuff tonight.

I still miss the decades I spent heating with the OWB. But, the Kuuma burns far less wood, unbelievably far less!

It was 30f at 6am, and it's only supposed to get to 37f. A little warm inside, at about 80f.

    Have a good day folks.

A bit chilly this morning, it's warmed up a few degrees to -23C/-9F though. Pine and heating oil for breakfast, so temp inside is climbing in a hurry.

-4c/25f this morning. I don't mind that temperature. Its nice and mild while still looking wintery out. I fell asleep last night so didn't bother with an over night burn. I have a blaze king princess being installed December 15th so I'm really looking forward to seeing how that compares to my current stove. Merry Christmas to me!

My OWB uses less wood than my old wood stove to heat more space plus DHW. The newer ones are pretty efficient.
