Good luck dennis! Better off staying on the ground buddy. Definately wouldn't want to have vertigo in a stand. I had it once a few years ago and i could barely stand up or walk straight. It sure is a strange feeling.

Dennis, I hope you fare well and have a successful season. It is always nice to have it all packed up in the freezer by Turkey day for sure!

Not only the cell phone but we have 2-way radios to keep in contact so she always knows where I am. On top of that, she usually takes me out and then comes after me when I'm ready to quit.

For sure it is strange. Most of the time that stuff hits when I lay down or try to get up. Sometimes when I sit and just had a bout of it after getting up and walking to the kitchen. I ran into the stove on the way past. My wife asked me if it was dizzy again. I told her no, that I was just checking the stove out as I went past.

Well, today was not so good. I did not get out at all. Long story but ended up running all over the place still trying to get ready for the surgery. Ended up havng to go to Lansing again. I hate that.

The season started off great. I came up for dinner and a friend stopped. Said he saw one little buck. He talked to another guy who has leased some ground by us and he did not see anything all morning. By 8:30 I had seen over 20 deer but all does and fawns. Probably some of this bunch:

Those are nice pictures. I wish you well with your hunt. Venison is a healthy meat and has so many ways to be used.

Yes it is. The fat is not marbled as it is in beef so it is almost choleserol free. We process our own and can most of the meat. Sometimes save out the tenderloin and some back straps.
