Yesterday afternoon I sat down to read for a bit and Delilah came up and laid next to me. She then reached out one paw to gently touch my arm. Thinking I was in her way, I moved my arm a bit away from her, and she reached out further so she was touching me again. This is special after breaking the trust I had been building up by caging her and causing all the stress of the vet visit and procedures.

You can see where they shaved her for the meds while at the vet.

Had a visitor this past Thursday. Big Boy apparently got out of their house and came to say "Hi". I wasn't sure it was him until I saw the scar on his right cheek. I texted them that Bill (their name) was here. She said he had slipped out when she left for work and she left the patio door open with food for him.

He did return home in the evening, so he was safe.

Super Max decided she got cold in the rain this morning and that we needed a fire. Then found her spot for the first fire of the season, it’s good to have a best buddy.

Many of you might know that we have two new dogs in the family. Lady joined us shortly after we lost our 14 yr. old Shadow. We now have a companion for Lady who is 10 wks old. Mischief is the name of the game around here now.
Lady just shortly after we got here. She was about 7 months old.

Lily is now 10 weeks old and so cute.

Her ears are starting to stand up.

They share campinspecter's lap without arguments now and I think that will continue. He might have to get a double size recliner though when Lily is fully grown.

Our living room has become the playground with all sorts of things to play with. If you are missing your hankerchief or socks, go look in the living room. My fuzzy bathmat fell victim to Lady a couple weeks ago.

Too cute! Interesting, from puppy til ~18 months I nicknamed every dog we've had "Mischief" during those early months. What breed is Lily? Lady is Basengi? Lady and Lily are adorable names.

They both are standard size rat terriers. We get a lot of comments about Lady being a Basengi. Her colouring is quite striking.
The previous three dogs, Rascal, Cricket and Shadow were miniature rat terriers.

Those terriers are so cute Woodwidow . I'll bet they have tons of energy and keep you guys on your toes - and not only from stealing stuff, LOL.

Yes, she definitely looks like a basenji. A friend of our had several of those.
