I can't believe this one wasn't mentioned already,

chooch. When a stove is really going well putting out mega heat. Or can be the act of reloading a wood stove with more wood. As in Re-chooching the stove. There's plenty of other ways to use chooch though

It was mentioned in another thread, but apparently never followed through in this one...

Log dog - a spike with a ring on the top. Hammered into a log so a cable can be attched to winch the log out of the bush. Or hammered into the top of a round so it can be winched up and onto the vertical splitter table.

In the Boston area, the term is derogatory. More to the effect of being a Jack @$$

Going nuclear/nuclear meltdown - a term used to describe letting your wood burner flue or stove top temp get wayyyy to high.

Speaking of chooch, I chooched us out of the house this am with my 8 am reload of the stove. With my wife cooking bacon, eggs, and hash browns, the outside temp heating up and the stove, it quickly got to near 80° in the house.
    Oops.

House HVAC fan on, insert blower off and ceiling fan on. That was enough and we didn't need to open windows.

    Another one,

Ratio rite- a measuring cup for getting the gas to oil ratio correct for your chainsaw.

Looks like they could use a baffle. I'd guess that's some goofy lens or filter on their camera. No way that's the real color when the wall and ceiling are glowing.

Comments said AI but the guy showed a screen shot of his camera roll. There were different angles etc and he came back with it being multi-walled pipe. I dunno. He loaded it up and forgot about it for an hour with the drafts open.

Same thing as these people taking pictures of the northern lights and you can see all sorts of colors but with the naked eye you basically see nothing.

I don't doubt his stove was hot but I highly doubt it was glowing that bright.

Cool picture to show the heat distribution. Might have to try that on mine when she's really choochin. ( See what I did there ;))

I’ve overfired before, no where near like that, and my magnetic temperature gauge fell off, rather quickly. His is still there, made me question the pic right away. I’ve seen red stoves and this is usually the aftermath.

Well, mom and dad had the old pot belly stove in their basement, she told me to go fill up the stove, I was a young teen and did what I was told...stuffed it full of seasoned hickory with damper open...the pipe at the top was cherry red, the cast iron stove was a dull orange. The floor joist above the pipe were 15 yrs old and the heat started drawing turpentine out of them...:hair::hair::hair:

After we got it and the seat of my pants cooled down, dad put some heat resistant panels above the pipe...
