The 8 point I have let walk for two years now but if I get a chance this year I will probably shoot him. In the last ten years I have learned to let a lot of buck walk and have gotten a lot more selective on what I want to shoot. Sometimes I regret it but o well, lol. I am pretty sure the 10 point is younger than the 8 but I need to look at last years pictures to be sure. I especially like the picture of the 6, 8, and 10 point together on the other page. I also have a 5 point coming in pretty regularly, in fact he was in the food plot when I went up there this evening and hung out just inside the woods while I changed the memory card.
It is a tough, but rewarding choice to finally make; to let them walk. Once you decide not to take the shot, the experience of watching a nice buck in the woods is a great reward. You can only harvest mature bucks if you choose not to take them when immature. It also guarantees more time in the tree for you. Enjoy.
Nice deer in these pics. I have been slacking on the bow practice especially for only being 6 days away from season.
Time to share some more with you all. So where are your trail pics? Story behind these pics. Days ago. I ask my dad if he has hunted out of the double ladder stand on my land we put up for my son and nephew to hunt out of in past years. He hadnt and took some ear corn and apple cider to put around the feeder that was empty all year. Also set up cam to get a look see. He said he got 118 pics of 4 bucks mainly and no does in pics. Guess where he was hunting that evening.
Only lets me put 1 pic per post this new drag and drop way. I give up posting the other 2 pics. I keep getting this now too. The following error occurred: The submitted message is too long to be processed. Please shorten it. I know that is BS because this is all that was typed. Only lets me put 1 pic per post this new drag and drop way.
You can upload multiple files at once from the same folder(no need to do each one then go back to the sub folder for the next) Hold the "SHIFT" key while selecting files that are in order or hold the "CTRL" key and select out of sequence pictures - click them with your mouse, using control key just click to de-select ones that you inadvertently tap on. Not sure about the drag n' drop issue
First time using a trial cam. Put one up 250 yards form camp. The night before we got there on our 10 day hunt, this little guy came by. Small bull, to big for the spike /fork & to small for 3 brow or tines 50" . Seems he stopped right beside the camera . 3:41 AM
I hope to get some new pictures up, my camera is down - more the 12V battery is toast. Tried charging it this morning no dice, it eats C cells too fast to justify replacing them. My improvised 12V adapter with a sealed bucket is the ticket....until you leave it in the woods for 8 months without charging
My current view....... Hoping it changes soon. Had my 8 point that I want come in to 28 yards last night but no clean shot
