It's been snowing lightly for some time now. Ended up putting the plow on the truck.

47 now and 31 in the morning. No fire as the sun is providing plenty of heat for a bit longer. Probably some elm overnight.

 

Got our first little stint of 24/7 burns from tonight at light off through Monday.
Got some pine and ash started splits with a big oak and some other hardwood chunks for that slow burn

 

And now it is 35F out and snowing!

Going to get brisk overnight for this time of year, sitting at -11C/12F, dropping to -19C/-2F overnight. Then a warm up to follow in a few days.

Well here we are winter's coming Stove this chootchin along, 36 out now they say low 33 tonight , A little bit of snow forecast for the next couple of days.

Thankfully, we didn't get the 8" of snow that was predicted.....but the forecast continues the warning until tomorrow morning.

Stove cranked up yesterday afternoon. Got down to 25f overnight so our first hard freeze. Need to work on bringing down some wood and clean up some of the leaves. Talking down to 19f tonight but then a warm up again.
