Any evidence of being shot lost? EHD has been pretty bad here this year. Do you have that junk out there?

It was about 100 yards from the road & there was corn on both sides of the ditch. I figured someone shot it from the road while it was in the corn & then couldn’t find it but it’s possible it died from blue tongue.

I just took a quick look for arrows/holes then proceeded with the beheading. The landowner said he didn’t have anyone hunting on his place.

We have blue tongue/chronic wasting here. There were several reports of it last year.

I wasn’t going to call the dnr, I didn’t have time to play her obligatory BS 20 questions & have her threaten to get a search warrant for my premises, blah, blah, blah ….

She is a monumental PIA to deal with in the best of circumstances let alone a dead buck.

Nice work! I’ve had limited opportunity for hunting this fall as well. Able to carve out a week each year at minimum, but not a lot of time outside of that. During my week off, I passed this buck, and kind of wishing I hadn’t now. Maybe I’ll see him during fun….or not and get him next year! We’ll see what happens. IMG_8676.jpeg

IMG_0971.jpeg Shot this buck with my crossbow yesterday. A bit of a freak, with a 13” spike on one side and a typical 4 on the other a broken tine. 22 yard shot. Deer weighed 155 pounds dressed-which is a fairly heavy buck for this area-heaviest I have ever shot.

IMG_0200.jpeg Havent been out yet, but the guys who camp at my place got a buck and some does. I scored big though. My neighbor who leases his fields needs deer taken out. A fifty acre field surrounded by woods was so decimated by deer, he didn’t bother harvesting it. So i have a lone field with beans still there, waiting for me to take deer. My brother and his buddies have lusted to get in there fo4 ten years.

We put a stand up this afternoon. Cant wait. My brother advised no to take a buck, but to wait for late muzzleloader season. Says they will be red hot there

a huge buck was taken close t9 us. Likely stomped through our place . The pic here is from a guy who h7nts my farm. Got this in Iklahoma last week

There's a number of smaller bucks at my land. I can't hunt opening weekend, but I'll be out second weekend. We have a funeral service out in California that we'll be at. The celebration of life is on opening day in WI. It's important, we'll be there. Hopefully I'll be able to get a good one when I'm back in WI.

I've got one of those. Always photo bombing my cams. He better not test my patience.

My Amish neighbor cross bowed a buck about a month ago. They don’t allow pictures. But through the back door (one of their drivers) I was able to sneak some pics off the guys phone. I hope I don’t rot in hell.

A taxidermist scored it at 191 inches non typical. The biggest circumstance was 9 inches. 5 and half years old he had his rear molars completely wore down.

This buck was taken about two miles south of our 40 acres.

We got 2 random never before seen shooter bucks on camera this week. Seems they are on the search for hot does, and willing to cover some ground in the process.

That's what I'm hoping for. But I need venison this year. I'm also down for the doe only season down by home between Christmas and New Year's that I'm off from work for already. The deer up north at my hunting land are Northwoods deer and they don't get to eat the crops like they do down in the southern part of the state. But if I see a shooter up north it's game on.

Got this buck Saturday-first day of NY rifle season. Met my standard-not a spike or fork horn. Saves on taxidermy bills!
    Don’t get a woods picture.

I’d shoot that deer every day of the week! Gramps said “you can’t eat the antlers”.

It appears that Buck had a decent sized body, based on the head at least.
