Hi, FNG! or Newb if you prefer. I've been cutting and burning wood a long time. Just decided to join the hoarders and see what I can learn and have a few laughs! I'm Bob and I might be a firewood hoarder... 39/64 this morning. Small fire, pallet kindling and a couple splits of maple. Currently 46/70 and I will rebuild the fire later on if needed or in the morning. Supposed to make low to mid 30's by morning.
Welcome. And if you need help spending your money on chainsaws and splitters, we can accommodate. My name is Mike, and I'm a hoarder in Ok. Lopi Endeavor and Republic 1250
Welcome Bob, Pull a stump next to the fire and grab a cup of coffee! Glad to meet you! Lots of pictures of saws, wood stacks, logs, kids and family pets please. Again, welcome! ....Russ
Lowest it’s gotten here in Delaware is high 30’s. I wanted to start a fire in my wood stove but found that I need to replace some bricks and the insulation on top. Got the bricks in and one was cut too wide so I’m waiting for the last brick to arrive before putting it together.
Welcome to the site. There is always room for one more. Looking forward to what we can learn from you.
Thank you all! Is there a dedicated thread for pets/dogs? The only one I could find hasn't been posted to in two years. I will have to take my dogs pic in front of the woodpile too! Already 39/66 so going to build my top down and get something going to take the edge off! I'll be here in the AM with my cup o' joe!
Currently -9C/15F and hopefully getting a few degrees above freezing later. Little Chernobyl eating poplar and pine for breakfast.
This was 3 days ago . 2 days ago we had +2°F ambient for the low and didn't get above single digits all day . Warm , Late freeze up here . Freeze up was 2 weeks late . Not unheard of to have 25 below on halloween. We've burned probably more that half a cord so far this burn season .
45 going to mid 50s. Some small oak splits for a morning fire. Not sure if necessary, but the dogs like it for the day. Burnin Since 1991 from one Bob to another, welcome to the forum!
Sunny, breezy and 43, supposedly not getting out of the 40s today. Burning more aspen splits and various chunk wood.
