So, it turns out that Truckaa's SIL didn't want most of the log left behind.

The rounds were busted up and end up here! I wasn't expecting them. So we unloaded his F250 and just "chucked" them with the rest of the rounds.

    Here with the other rounds.

That’s a term my dad used forever. Guess it rubbed off on me a bit.

Nice. Do you have a lot of rounds on hand to refill the racks?

Ive seen homeowners want wood left for them when I cut and it drives me nuts :hair:when later on I see it sitting untouched and rotting away!

I do now have inventory to refill the two racks that I have empty today.

As far as the nine racks that'll be empty come March '26, not even close. I'll locate some somewhere. I've got 10 cord CSS, currently.

I'm thinking we'll be closer to burning 3 cords this season. I'd like to use up some HHO. I need to make room for a minimum delivery - 100 gals. Hoping for lower fuel oil $'s. The half tank we have now, was filled ~6yr ago.

I'll stack both on different racks.

I hope to get the RM all split and put to bed by itself.

The BL I hope to get simply halved/quartered and stacked as is, for now. Just to take up a smaller footprint. Heavy rounds. Not sure I have the patience to wait for the bark to shed.

Normally if I scrounge fresh or recently cut green BL I'll CSS and top cover ASAP as the bark will stay tight until sold. The bark does take up a lot of volume in the stacks. S'pose you could check in a few months to see it its lose. Do you want it barkless?

Indifferent. Takes up rack space. No problem. I'll have plenty of rack space becoming available over the next few months.
