Good saw, I've cut over a hundred cord with my Echo. Runs like a timex watch.

I take it you know exactly what you have there? Gotta love a twin cylinder saw. They were decades ahead of their time for AV.

Love my wee Echo top handle.32 yrs old this Christmas, its a very tough & very reliable saw.Dropped it 20 ft when in a tree years back, dented the sheet metal clutch cover/muffler guard, but started right up after that.No chain brake or even a hand guard & only 8500RPM's but will eat through the toughest White Oak or Hickory with sharp lo profile chain. If it ever dies I'll replace it with one of their current hot little models.

Well my sister went to the auction for me while I was at work. She text me and asked if $30 was a good price lol. We have everything from the little top handle trim saw to the 8000 can't say anything bad about echo. I'll try for a video again soon.

I worked for john deere for 5yrs and tried finding one old dealer stock all the time no luck though. But hey never thought I'd find this one 5 miles from home either.

    Damm you Chris......you lucky bugger!!

I have a handful of "dream saws".......a Stihl 041G, a Stihl 090 (or Contra or Lightning or Lightning "S"), a McCulloch BP-1 and the Echo 610EVL or it's JD equivalent......

Almost scored a complete, intact and decent BP-1 a couple years ago but left it go (400 bucks), should've jumped on it as they are very hard to get anymore. The worlds "first" balanced piston (twin) chainsaw, made around 1961....they were WAAAY ahead of their time...

Every once in awhile, someone wiggles a 66SV (the JD version) in front of me and it somehow NEVER works out. Not cause I'm not ready with the money either. The 610's are identical, but the JD version is much more rare.

(I too, worked for a Deere dealer for 5 yrs)

The JD version is actually the 66SV.
