I mow the leaves that have accumulated in several spots one time. The rest seem to miraculously disappear with the strong winds we have here. Any that are around the perimeter of the house after the annual leaf mowing get dealt with in the spring.

Dang east wind is shutting down my deer hunting.

Finished off the load of sawmill rejects and cutoffs this morning. Not sure what I'm going to do the rest of the day.

Helped my buddy clear the trees that will make way for the large carport to put his boat and my big boat in for winter storage. It'll be like a 24x40' 3 sided carport. I tried to get him moving on this earlier, but he's been busy and things have come up. We'll get it done. Yesterday was a huge first step. The area is cleared. Next is stump grinding and gravel. The structure itself will go up over the next 4 weeks. Hopefully just in time before the snow flies.

Most of the trees were pretty small, but they will be turned into firewood. Here's my haul from yesterday. I just marked most of it and kept it long to save time yesterday.

Mostly black walnut with a few ash trees.

I mulched the leaves, cleaned the mowers, and put them away yesterday. Done with mowing for this year.

I watched every play and it also had no effect on my life! Other than I stayed up an hour later last night!

Sweet. I'll not forget the year when we had beautiful apple blossoms in October. They did well until a strong cold front moved in.

I haven't rode this week. I'm carpooling with a apprentice that lives close to me. Plus the deer have been really on the move in the mornings.

I much as much as I can while "mowing" them, but work the mower so that the leaves end up in the islands/flower beds and out around the edges of the yard, mostly either along the fences or at the wood line. and there they stay. I only rake or blow leaves immediately around the house and out of a couple of the nicer flower beds.
