I've had hickory that was similar.

 

Had a little intermission in the wood collecting.

Did one load I have posted yet, then the combine came into work and we were running long days for a week and I wasn't getting done tell well past dark.

Slower week this week so was able to get a load today.

Last week's load.




And a much bigger load today.

Ended up splitting and loading 7 25" long 20-22" dia rounds into the truck




3 rounds left, the other 1/2 of the small tree and some limb wood and it will all be cleaned up!

Well, sad day, the excavation started a day early.
And from what I seen the last I had there got scooped up and loaded out with the stumps they pulled and dumped out into the swamp.

At least I was down to the last truck load so wasn't much

 

That is sad, wish they would have set it aside for you.

 

That's happened to me in the past. Hard to keep at it with life and working alone.

Well you did get some great wood at least.
