Truckaa just sent me this picture. At his daughter's place about 20 miles away.

We're told it's some flavor maple and of locust.

Sunday morning we'll load up saws and hit it. Gives me time to sharpen a chain or two.

P.S. Exact location is quiet because of you know who.

That locust looks a little stale. Best to toss it aside. I'll come by and grab it for you. I need a roadtrip.

Today's cutting event has been delayed until tomorrow. Family commitments are more important.

We came, we sawed, we dominated.

Well, we did what's expected of FHCer's

The pile 3 red maple, 3 locust, guessing BL.

Truckaa was able to borrow his friend's trailer. Very useful

And a few for the car hoarder thread

My Husky 445 did most of the cutting. After 2 RM and 1 BL logs, I put on a brand new chain on.

Back at my place, it was all about unloading.

Many thanks to Truckaa and his friend for the trailer use.

It's nice to have on-site inventory again.

**edit - ended up with about 40 rounds

One RM log was left for the homeowner's fire pit.

Great teamwork guys. That BL will hand split easily for you. You could always let the rounds sit as is uncovered to get rid of the bark.

Good size. Yeah, rot fairly common in RM & BL at stump level. Usually not too far up though.

Yeah, you have to like black locust. The maple is a good score too.

Nice trailer! A trailer is the best way to haul wood.

You bet. Rolled on and off the trailer.

Truckaa returned yesterday to finish bucking the RM. It'll be destined for the firepit.
