Are there any haters of the Husky 3-series? (were there any duds that I'm forgetting?) 346/350, 357/359, 365/372, 390/394/395 It's like a dream lineup.

Agreed. I wouldn't want to run either of my 372's as a main saw, especially when wearing a 24" + bar. But when the job calls for it, they're perfect for pretty much anything significant I cut. My Jonsered 2150 is going to Kevin soon for a port job. Even in stock form that's a snappy little saw, so I can only imagine....

A ton of Stihl guys who suffer from small member disorder. While the 372 is legendary, most porters get more from a 462 Stihl. Woods porting is all about how a saw is built and what a porter has to work with.

Non ported, they will all run until straight gassed, tree hugged, or bucket truck wheel chocked…

I "need" to put a real series 2 or 3 in my collection. Like one of those screaming 242xp saws.

I picked up my (hardly used) 372 for $600. The guy had it sitting under his work bench and wanted it gone. I took a log with to test run it and it did not run well. (Old gas) I dumped it out and put fresh gas in it when I got home and it took right off.

If you cut wood over 20”, you need a 372.

I probably get more requests for new 372s than anything from logger's and tree companies the 395 being second.
They are not happy with the latest generations of anybody's saws
They want simple reliability they can service themselves or already have parts onhand.
And as far as I know hardly any of them run ported saws
I refer them to night rogue for new one's

I'm still mostly running a ported 266xp for everything with a 24" Oregon lightweight bar it's not as strong as my ported 372s of course IMG_20240125_125326.jpg
    The clone 372xt with a 20" solid bar IMG_20210609_202423.jpg
    Stihl 044 with a 24" solid bar.
I buy all the 365/372/394/395s I can find which is rare now.
I was offered 11 362s complete some running some not but I don't want anything to do with them.

The MS250C is getting a little love this morning. I replaced the primer bulb then noticed the fuel line was rotted through in 3 spots. Heading to the local Stihl dealer shortly. While I was taking things apart I decided to do a little cleaning. Took the clutch drum off and cleaned it, then greased the bearing which was dry and rusty. I took the plastic cover for the brake band off and cleaned behind there. All sorts of round rat turd looking grease balls in there :) The bar will need to get replaced but that’s a down the road problem. For now I just want to get it running.

Edit: local Stihl dealer is now out of business. I ordered an OEM line from Amazon which should arrive next Tuesday.
