Ok last night I had our first fire of the year in the quadrafire. I cleaned the chimney liner with the brush on Saturday. Most of the crud at the top in the cap as usual. Other than that it was very clean. That's what burning dry wood does.

I'll have another fire tonight and tomorrow night as well.

Having a fire in the stove sure feels great.

Getting ready to load up our stove for the overnight here shortly.....indeed, nothing beats a warm fire on a cool evening!

Just lit off the first fire of the season in the Kuuma furnace... mainly poplar, and a little maple mixed in too, oh, 1 piece of semi punky red oak also.
The little insert stove in the fireplace is nice for fire tv, but the basement is getting cold, which means cold floors, and I hate having cold feet...lil miss Kuuma will fix that! :)

Especially if you give 2 bigger dogs baths. They appreciate the fire even more than we do right now.

This was the first bath I've given Miss Timber. Yep, haven't given her a bath since we got her about 3.5 years ago. She was fine with it. I gave Hayden the lab his bath first, then she saw it was all good and I picked her up and got her in the tub afterwards.

Right? They sure are good at distributing their toys all over the house, and sometimes outside.
