Good Morning, Brothers & Sisters Thread

Went in for another shot in my left eye this morning. I go back in 6 weeks so the Dr can have a good look at how it is doing. Taking it easy the rest of the day.

 

We really didn't think they would win it in New York. So many mistakes the night before. Now to see who they will play.

I'm thinking I'll go to a farm/estate auction today.

Morning all. Light overcast with fog out on the water. I think it will clear off later today. Yesterday was sunny and calm. Really nice day.

Never, never doubt God answers prayers. Lady got away on me yesterday on our walk. As the extended leash bounced behind her on the pavement, it spooked her into running full tilt away from me. I don't run at all, my walking isn't fast. We spent a couple of hours in separate vehicles circling the area where she disappeared. A voice told me to drive this one street and get out and walk along the cleared properties below our place. There she was wet and muddy. When she got to the grassed area, the extended leash box didn't make as much noise to spook her so she was busy investigating all the smells. What a morning. When spooked by almost anything she wants to run.

Our walk this morning was a shorter leash with better gripping for me. A much better walk for the two of us.

Cooking for potluck today. We are having Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow at the church. Yes, it is Thanksgiving weekend up here in Canada - a long weekend. Our oldest is coming for a visit along with her dog. Lady will have someone to play with.

I well know that cold fear that grips your heart and mind when a well loved pet gets away or is lost. All the "what ifs" that come to mind. So very glad for you both that you recovered her unharmed!

 

What always is in the back of my mind is that it is cougar country even right in our community during the day. So glad for answered prayers.

Good morning everyone! The plan of the day is yet to be determined.

 

Morning all. Partially overcast with the promise of sunshine later today. We have been having a nice stretch of weather.
Oldest daughter and dog will be visiting this weekend. Lady will have a playmate.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; Psalm 92: 1

Not just on Thanksgiving weekend should we give praise and thanks to our Lord. Praise and thanksgiving should be the first thing we think about and the last as we go through our day. Even for the really tough days, there is something to give thanks about. You are alive and will get through it with the Lord's help. It is easy to forget to do and I know I do often. We are so blessed with sunshine, rain, air to breathe, family, the ability to work or play and a mind to appreciate the Lord's wonders and His salvation he offers freely to us.
Take time today to really talk to the Lord and give him praise and thanks for all that He has provided for you.
