Funny you guys mentioned this as I was going to post a thread on it last weekend when I used greasy paper towels to start the firepit. I often save them from cooking and/or clean up. Ill keep them in the cold grill or the charcoal bucket.
I always remember when we pan fried bacon while camping and dumping the grease into the fire. I use the microwave to cook bacon most of the time and end up with a good wad of paper towels when done. Wiped out the frying tonight after she cooked ground beef. Into the grill the paper towels went.
I poured the butter and oil from the mushrooms I cooked on the charcoal grill in a pan, over the coals in the grill. That was a nice flare up that was fully intended. Grease fires that are intentional are great.
I like saving bacon grease to get my springtime outdoor fire going when I'm burning all the sticks and twigs that fell in my yard over the winter. It smells awesome doing it that way too
Leftover dripping from bacon, gets saved and put into the refrigerator. Used for most anything being cooked on the stove. Veggies, eggs, grilled cheese, etc.
Outdoor fire with the Sunday night game on. It's pretty nice out, the wind calmed down, and it's 58° at the moment
Friday night we had a fire after a work sponsored bowling event. We had our friends daughter come up to join us. That was a lot of fun. Then we had a fire at our place. Tonight just hanging by the fire again.
The junk was starting to pile up in the fire pit, and this weather is prime for sitting around a fire outdoors.
Today was in the mid 60's actually in the upper 60's at 66°. Tonight's fire outside. I burned some leaves that gathered on the patio. The pups will run their energy out tonight and tomorrow.
I had fire yesterday forgot to take pics I know pics or it didn’t happen, was size of 1 car garage easy. it did happen
Great time to do it, with the wet grass from snow and rain. Those big fires can get away quickly if given a chance.
When fire started was 6 inches of snow all around but was raining with no winds.. week before my daughter had changed her oil But yeah they can
