Need to pick my daughter up from college on Thursday, so I won't be able to make it to Fast Eddies. I'll see you guys on Saturday.
The "new" camper is hooked up and prepped. Saws are next. Planned arrival is Thursday afternoon. Three 036's 18" bars. All XS ported. This year I am gonna be ready for the bucking trailer. We're planning on Fast Eddie's. See y'all soon!
I haven't for 4-5 years now...there are plenty of saws, just need more strong backs/hands to split/etc. There are so many hot saws around it gives my saws a complex anyways! Tool wise the only thing I've been bringing is my gloves and pickeroons...I usually try to help keep a couple splitters stocked, or rotate out with someone to run a splitter...whatever needs doin. I just enjoy the whole experience of everybody working together to accomplish a huge goal, and quickly too! Reminds me of working on the farm when my grandparents were still around...the whole family pitching in and working together all day. I've only seen pics of "the old days" when the whole neighborhood would get together to bring in the harvest. Closest thing to it may have been when the neighbor's wife died right at harvest time...everyone got together and made it happen, without him even being involved...only took part of a day though. (big equipment, on "small" acres)
OK all, Elizabeth here, looking forward to seeing everyone. I'm shopping this weekend so let me know what is needed or wanted.
I really don't like telling someone what they should bring because it always seems to work out. But after thinking about it some baked beans would go well with the menu.
