I think you got it. Glad to read it's not detrimental to the tree.

I was craving Wendy's Jr Bacon cheeseburger, it's been several years.... Last night I asked for deal, (2 jr bacon's and 2 fries and Dt Coke (not had one in eons) and, a cobb salad ((one each for kiddo and share large salad) . The salad was over priced of course but WOW!! Everything I wanted and fantastic. Best since salad buffet at Ft Collins Hospital that I went to after blood draw back in the day. Only think that would have made it better would have been a sloppy spoonful of cottage cheese on the edge :drool:

At the hospital before scooping salad buffet I'd order a cheeseburger on texas toast, they had a grill right there to brown the bread.:drool:

I just learned WWW had a cop at his driver's window today. He had a phone call on a highway, pulled over to take notes on his notepad while on the call and a cop stopped. He said he was 8' off the white line. Cop said it was against the law to stop on a state highway. Huh, what about all the antelope hunters that pull over to glass game? No ticket, no warning. We had no idea that was illegal, both have done it since cell phones were introduced.

That's odd. You would think the cop would be pleased for the reason WWW was pulled to the side of the highway!

Anyway, I found the statute regarding just that. I think it would have been an easy citation to challenge and also a bit of a learning process for the cop.

    31-5-504. Specific places where prohibited.

    (a) Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer or traffic-control device, no person shall:

There is more to the statute (of course) but it boils down to discretion/interpretation maybe? I'm sure the cop just to "check on things" and that's good in this day and age.

We truly enjoy a good salad buffet.

But, it seems the the burgers win out heavily in comparison to the salad bar.

Maybe the cop was bored? Or an a... Well, anyway I hope there was no ticket. I thought it was illegal only on freeways.

There was a Pizza Hut in Berthoud Colo, they shut down the lunch buffet and salad bar around 2 or 3 pm to ready for the dinner rush, sold the big salad bar container for like $2, no weighing. Lettuce, dressing, then a bunch of toppings like shredded cheese, bacon, hardboiled eggs, and others, and of course bunch of cottage cheese along the edge where it could fit

Also there was 3 store chain called Haye's Market grocery stores (Berthoud, Windsor and Johnstown). The grandma in the Haye's family had home made green chili in each store and the smothered burritos were amazing  They were huge, but so delicious I'd finish the whole thing a lot of the time.

I'm not even aware of any salad bar anywhere here , maybe the hospital, but I know they don't have a fry grill for texas toast cheese burger.

I just saw WWW's company won the "Best of the Best" in our town again this year! He's won 3 years straight since they added the roofing catagory to the awards 3 years ago. Congrats honey!

So they'd rather have people on the phone and distracted while driving? I've been to your state a few times, even the big cities have small town vibes. I'm surprised.

Yes, but funny I take the visit as a small city vibe, he was somewhere south of Casper, not the interstate but a less traveled State highway.

Also, of all things I hired a "pet escort" to bring our kitten to Denver so we didn't have to wait another month to ship him and be alone in the airplace luggage belly of the plane. This man was from Chicago?, or Detroit? He could not make the stop in Casper but earlier mentioned his mother escorts too, but too dangerous for her out there in Casper. Blew my mind, Wild! Total opposite of fears of a big city  . Long story short my Dad picked out kitten up from him in Denver and spent the night with him. (Then his wife bought one of the same breed after died :) )

Once in Bellvue I stopped on the side of the road to pick up a couple injured Robins (dress clothes, heels, whole deal). A cop stopped to see if I was okay, I felt grateful. Before that I was driving home from work at the factory mall stores late one night in a snow storm (in the Blaze, limited headlights though WWW adjusted the right one a bit for seeing deer on my right) I pulled up to a dead end stop sign with no lighting. I had my blinker on and engaged 1st gear and a flash light came through my window! I had no idea the cop was there looking at a previous crash and still grateful til this day he used his flashlight to alert me. I love our cops :) WWW's oldest freind just retired after on the beat for all these years, thankful he's out (Cali). Once when kid was little I was at school and a Trooper showed up, talking casually to couple teachers, kiddo saw him and ran up and hugged him, guess he'd given presentations there before, made an impression :)
