They work great on briquettes too. A couple of pieces of crumpled up newspaper is all it takes.

That's just Hayden the lab. Timber is off regulating the woodland creatures. She looks more wolfy because she's half husky.

I'm glad. Maybe CA should try this idea.

Cali can't figure out the really simple things. Honestly that's the real issue with California.

Started the fire later this afternoon for getting the charcoal going for the smoker. Kept it going til 9. Probably the last Summer like evening here. Big chunk of buggy basswood with framing lumber scraps. DSCF0149.JPG

Worked a half day. Went out on the lake in the boat the other half. It was glorious. It was mid to upper 80's's for temperature. The lake was still nice and warm too

Boat's all set for tomorrow to go out too. It's supposed to be about the same for weather.

Fire tonight to get the pups all worn out and relax a bit ourselves. PXL_20251003_235958449.MP.jpg

Shorts and dry punky stuff. It all burns, quite well at that.

We are having another fire tonight. At least for a couple of hours at least. We had some greasy take out fried chicken cardboard firestarter material that we had to use. Lol.
