Been meaning to post for a while....Got this back in July but just getting around to posting it...

Wanted/needed a pole saw and was thinking about getting one of the big extendable ones Then thought about an echo battery polesaw since I like my echo battery chainsaw. Then thought about all the fighting I do with my shindaiwa weedeater, with the grass wrapping around the shaft and bogging down the head (tall grass like on fences etc), so thought about the combination systems. Finally decided on the stihl kombi, and figured if I did it I was going for the big one.

Found the 131 at the "before most recent price increase" price, so pulled the trigger. Got the pole saw, and 4 blade weedeater attachment. Got a string trimmer head as well as a brush blade. Only thing I'm missing is the extension section...place was out at the time.

I've used it multiple times, both polesaw and weedeater with string and blade. This thing is a beast. I weedeated along an electric fence (probably .25-.5 mile, that would have been almsot impossible with the shindaiwa due to grass wrapping and stopping the head and having to clean), lots of other weedeating. Whacked a bunch of waist high blackberry. The '4 tooth blade' is made for grass, but so far I've cut brush with it as well...haven't put on the actual brush blade. I've cut chit I probably shouldn't.

Pole saw works well too. I've only done a bit of limbing with it so far but sure is handy. I need to get the extension so I can tackle a bunch of limbs over paths and fences this winter.

So far, one of the best purchases I've ever made, along with the used kubota utv....

I’ve got same; all mentioned attachments plus the power broom to take gravel out of grass in the spring. If vehicles leave ruts in grass that mini tiller is the bomb

I am looking for those used Utv …

The saw blade will cut stumps even though it’s not designed too… I’m running a 111 brush cutter so the 131 will pull it just fine. It works excellent on grass and brush mix not having to switch between it and a string head.

I got the echo saw blade when I bought all the stuff, just haven't tried it. I'm cutting brush/saplings that are probably almost up to the size of a gold ball with the 4 tooth grass blade. Although the upper end of that is definitely bigger than I should be, and it takes some chewing at it...

You're reminding me of when I used to trim around all the pine trees my parents would sell come Christmas time. Rows and rows that only got mowed and weed eated once a year. I used a bicycle handle Husqvarna with a harness and 4 "tooth" blade. Can remember free reving that thing as high as it would go and repeatedly smashing it into "saplings". To the point where I'd have to wait a few sec for it to spool back up between wacks. Probably cut some 2-3" ones. Surprisingly it never broke, no matter how hard I tried.

Yes that's a great kombi. We have the older 130, I believe. Plenty of torque. We have the pole saw, curved shaft and straight shaft heads, blower and 24" angled hedge trimmer. We have borrowed the mini tiller before. We've cut some nice size trees with the pole saw. If you get into bigger saplings, try a beaver blade...
I use the 4 tooth blade to cut bamboo..

I have had my 130 Kombi for 10-12 years. I have the weedeater, pole saw, extension and power paddles. No complaints.
